What Americans Know About POLAND? [Kult America]

04:41
Growing up in the US I had an impression that Polish people were everywhere and that Polish culture is well known among my fellow Americans. On this episode of Kult America I've decided to check what people of the US really know about Poland? Do they know at least some basic information about this glorious country? Finding My Lost Polish Family [Kult America]

08:59
Growing up in America I always identified myself as “Half Polish”, this was a normal part of my identity as my Great Grandmother sent packages containing my childhood clothing to relatives in Poland. When she passed away the contact stopped and I wondered desperately who she had been in touch with on the other side, what family members I might have. So I composed a family tree and did as much research as I could before finally having the amazing opportunity of flying from Newark NJ to Rzeszów on LOT Polish airlines to visit the part of Poland where my living relatives still live. The beautiful village located in the Podkarpackie region is my family’s history, the place responsible for the existence of everyone I love. This was the most meaningful trip of my life and for anyone of Polish heritage, I’d insist you take the time to discover your own ancestry in the same way. ★★★ CONTACT ★★★ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/RyanSocash Email: [email protected] Brands: [email protected] Merchandise: https://shop.spreadshirt.pl/KultAmerica https://mediakraft.tv

Why I left America for Poland [Kult America]

05:19
People often ask me how could I chose to live in Poland instead of the US. What was the reason to move out from the ’american dream” and settle down in the East European country? On today’s episode of Kult America I will try to explain why I made that choice. It was not just my admiration for the culture, but involved some social, economic, and - nevertheless - personal reasons. Why Foreigners Love Kraków! [Kult America]

German Nazi Concentration Camp Majdanek [Kult America]

04:47
My first view of Majdanek was brutal, the former German Nazi concentration camp is literally situated in the middle of Lublin, a large city in the east of Poland. Surrounded by hundreds of buildings, and thousands of windows, I could imagine that for many people this monstrosity has become normal. I’ve seen contrasts before, but this tested the limits of my imagination. The camp was used for forced labor and to liquidate jew’s from the Lublin region and beyond. The first building we entered was a gas chamber where prisoners were actually given showers before their extermination. The building was marked “disinfection”. The prisoners would have a shower to “settle down” and the warmth would help activate the lethal elements of Zyklon B.. This theory is a little strange when you consider that the chamber was fit with a high power furnace used to activate the gas - and that the furnace itself was enough to kill the people. I couldn’t stand visiting the gas chamber, the walls were still stained blue from the toxic gas, and I don’t really know how to express the feeling aside from this thought, I witnessed evidence that real monsters exist or that maybe humans are monsters. We went on to see the living conditions of the prisoners - one plaque described how in the winter people were sleeping on wet hay with no blankets in the freezing cold. In the morning, they’d be physically brutalised before eating some soup mixed with saw dust. The camp went on and on, it was large in scale and endlessly creepy. When I entered the crematorium, I observed a building was devoted to burning murdered people - the furnaces doubled as water boilers so that the killers could have a warm bath. I wondered, were the engineers monsters to? Right outside the crematorium were ditches where a mass execution took place and right beside stands a monument which is literally a mount of human ash mixed with dirt. you might wonder why I’m not quoting the death toll and the answer is simple, only estimations exist… educated speculation.. As I walked away from the camp, I peered over to a cemetery boarding the site, every person there had a headstone with a name, their deaths had dignity, their loved ones had closure. In a concentration camp hundreds of thousands, maybe even millions of human-beings lost their lives to only be summarised in speculated numbers, smoke through a chimney, and a mound of ash. ★★★ CONTACT ★★★ Email: [email protected] Official Site: http://www.socash.xyz/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/RySocash

September 11th, The Polish Perspective - [Kult America]

03:59
I remember the first anniversary of September 11th, one year after the horrific terrorist attack took place in New York city. I was in Nowy Targ Poland at the time, visiting with a friend. She switched to show me a tribute that Polish fire fighters were giving to American fire fighters. I couldn’t believe what I was witnessing, a group of Polish fire fighters were singing the American national anthem. I was so touched by their gesture and impressed by how powerfully people could unite in the eyes of tragedy. Since that time much has changed, America’s reputation has changed, and it made me wonder if this unity still remained, I wondered what Polish people would tell me about that horrific day, do they still care? or has this already become an abstract American disaster? ★★★ CONTACT ★★★ Email: [email protected] Official Site: http://www.socash.xyz/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/RySocash

The Battle Scars of Warsaw 🇵🇱 [Kult America]

Perhaps one of the most eerie features of Warsaw Poland, is that its battle scars have gone untouched in many places. In this episode of Kult America, I explored the city to find what WW2 artefacts have remained, and in some cases are overlooked. We saw a bullet ridden wall, a hole in the sky which use to be someones kitchen, a bombed water tower, and bunkers on a train platform. LOT Flight 5055 was an Ilyushin Il-62M of LOT Polish Airlines that crashed in the late morning hours of Saturday, May 9, 1987. The event happened in the Kabaty Woods nature reserve on the outskirts of Warsaw, Poland. The flight prepared to leave Warsaw to San Francisco International Airport via New York City's John F. Kennedy International airport when it encountered multiple catastrophic events with the numbers 1 and 2 engines as well as the elevator shortly after departure. All 183 passengers and crew on board perished in the crash. Politically Correct Concentration Camp Video [Kult America]

06:30
I've said it before, I'm not a historian, I'm not a teacher, I'm just a curious person who visits important places and I give an honest opinion. Whenever I touch on historic topics around the time of the second world war, people go insane by my choice of words yet I feel that in giving a first hand account I've said nothing wrong. When I refer to German's as Nazi's, people claim "they are confused because I was not specific enough", "I'm inventing monsters from the moon" etc. When I refer to Nazi's as Germans I'm told it's politically incorrect as all German's were not Nazi's. So in theory I should limit myself to specifying "German Nazi's" in every account despite the fact that context is extremely clear. I do prefer to be respectful to the sensitivity of the topic, and would like to chose words which could please everyone. However, what I'm more interested in is paying my respect to the victims of these places and sharing the impression with other like minds. Political correctness is good in many cases but cry bullies should focus their energy on people who are doing real harm in the world. ★★★ CONTACT ★★★ Email: [email protected] Official Site: http://www.socash.xyz/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/RySocash

In today’s episode of Kult America Ryan Socash visits the infamous Przemyśl Fortress (Twierdza Przemyśl). Przemyśl fortress (Polish: Twierdza Przemyśl) was a series of fortifications constructed at Przemyśl by the Austro-Hungarian Empire from the mid 19th century until the First World War. It was constructed in sections, depending on the diplomatic relations between Austria and the Russian Empire, and saw extensive combat during World War I. Originally captured by the Russian Army, it was recaptured by the German Army in mid 1915. Afterwards the ruined fortifications lost their military significance. ★★★ CONTACT ★★★ Email: [email protected] Official Site: http://www.socash.xyz/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/RySocash
