5 brand messaging tips for live video

04:48
Learn to increase engagement and grow your business with live video. Join our live video event on May 24.➜ https://hubs.ly/H0b_XfX0 It’s been said that a picture is worth a thousand words, and if so, then what is a live video worth? Live streaming video is one of the best ways to get your brand messaging out there. Keep your focus on your audience: When creating and strategizing live video content, be sure to ask yourself, “Is this something my audience needs, wants, or meets their interests? Is this something valuable enough to prompt them to schedule a block of time out of their day to attend your live streaming event?” The worst thing you can do as a brand is forget about your audience or buyer personas when you are developing a content strategy. One of the biggest struggles with marketing and creative strategy is aligning the content and creative to the goals and accomplishments you are trying to achieve with live streaming video campaigns. As a business, keep your content output in line with your messaging and goals. Use live video events or internet broadcasting as a thought leadership strategy to open communication and spur conversation with your audience. It can be an entertaining how-to or a quick FAQ session. Whatever approach you choose to take make sure it has your audience at the top of mind. Your style, tone, and voice should be consistent across all platforms: Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, at conferences, meetups, even on your website, your style, tone, and voice should be consistent wherever you are online. In order for you to form a community around your brand, you have to establish trust. And the best way to establish it is through consistency. Use your style guide to make sure that what you are about to post reflects your message. Create an editorial calendar in order to keep track on what days and what times you post. And share your posting schedule with your audience. For example, if you post every Saturday on YouTube, put that information in your channel art and video description box—consistently letting both new and returning viewers know when you post. Know the language: Social media is a great place to share information around the world, particularly live video and video on demand. And honestly, many people use social media as a place to escape. And by escape, I mean, watching cat videos on YouTube, Using your go go gadget helicopter, unveil Facebook Memories of the ‘Good ol’ days', or digging deep into your Instagram account to sleuth pictures from a family reunion that happened 4 years ago. A place where you may find yourself at 2 am when you know you should be sleeping, but if you watch just one more, that will work, right? For those who use social media as a societal barometer, source of news, community of like minded individuals, it is important for you to speak their language and relate to the audience. Because, yes, at the end of the day, there are individuals behind that pixelated screen no matter what time of day or night. So take a page from the, "sharing thoughts, providing value, offering advice” playbook and engage with your audience. Create a unique experience: Let’s say you create a Facebook post and you want to share it on Twitter. You can link that post within a tweet—allowing both communities to join in on the conversation. Thus, creating a shared experience. However, it’s best to create different types of content since your audience may follow you for different reasons. A person may prefer your Instagram over your Twitter. So you may not necessarily want them to see the same things on both platforms. If they do have to look at it in both spaces, at least give it a go with updated copy, or share at a later date. Bottom line: they are looking for a unique experience. You can provide that by creating specific content for each of your social platforms and tilt the content so everyone is happy. Transparency is key: Behind-the-scenes tours, interviews with your team members and industry thought leaders or weekly FAQs are just a few ways to be transparent with your audience. Nurture your audience by being transparent and genuine with them. Because giving them the inside scoop on something they love is just icing on the marketing cake. With that said, let’s see these tips in action across various social media platforms as they use social video to boost their brand messaging while engaging with their audience. Building a brand effectively doesn’t start with a website.

https://waitwhatreallyok.com/ https://lorenweisman.com/ Building a brand effectively doesn’t start with building a website. Online marketing business ideas. The Podcast video supplement for iHeartRadio’s branding podcast Wait What Really Ok Episode 90; hosted by Keynote Speaker and Branding Strategist Loren Weisman. A very large misconception in building a brand comes down to the idea that a website can be built first. This can end up costing a fortune more. When a small business or large one for that matter, think they can create initial brand awareness for their online marketing by putting up a website first, they end up having to go back and spend that much more to start a website over, fix the SEO and adjust their personal branding to reflect their message, their business ideas and creating better messaging for sales and advertising. Answering how to build a brand effectively comes down to the brand build first! From the bio to the tagline to the look and feel. The whole concept of business and personal branding communication with your audience is key. This does not mean you have to spend a fortune on a personal branding course or sign up for a personal branding course. It does mean that identifying the crucial blueprint and footprint of your brand before you create a website will allow you to save time, money and frustration. Building a brand effectively starts with creating that brand prior to the website and social media. The foundations you create in the early stages of building a brand will allow every aspect of that brand to be brought into all the different pieces from websites, to social media to print and beyond. When you focus on making your audience feel something rather than just show or tell them you begin to create a deeper, more meaningful connection with them and as a result they trust you over someone else. Adding emotional branding to your photos, fonts, colors, copy and videos will stop your audience in their tracks, so let’s break down how you get there. #1 Connect Your Story With Your Audience It starts again with your story and the pieces of your story that connect best with your audience. Once you’ve gained clarity on this you can start to determine how you want your audience to feel when they see and hear your brand. #2 Identify How You Want Your Audience to Feel and Share It I love to choose 5 emotions I want my audience to feel when they come in contact with my brand, and I have my clients do the same thing. This allows you to create aesthetics, copy and programs that are directly tied to these emotions allowing for deeper trust with your audience AND consistency with your branding. Start thinking of your people as people and carry the emotional aspect into every ounce of your brand. At the end of the day it’s all about connecting with your audience so they take action. If resources are limited, however, achieving visibility and making an impact can be challenging. If your priorities include both creating a recognizable message and staying within budget, you might want to stick with the these five tips for building a great brand without breaking the bank. 1. Start with a Value Proposition The first step of budget-friendly brand building is understanding your Value Proposition before designing anything. Before you delve into the branding process, it’s very important that you can clearly define the following elements: What you do Why you do it Who’s it for and What the benefits are From this, a designed identity and other visuals will be more appropriate and easier to create. 2. Get an idea of where you want to be visually Use sites like Pinterest to fuel ideas and do your research to nail down the general vibe you want to project. You are likely to need a professional designer to complete your project, but by finding examples and understanding what works and what doesn’t, you’ll help speed up the process and hence reduce costs. 3. Put a lot of effort into market research If you’re working with a tight budget, it’s important to get most things right on your first try, so that there aren’t many expensive do-overs and fixes. This means that all your efforts need to be based on thorough research and preferably tangible data, which maximizes your chances of achieving the desired results right off the bat. 4. Make the most of free online resources Make use of the free internet, especially social media like Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, which allow you to get online and start talking with your audience. Open up a channel of communication with you potential customers and figure out what the right way to approach them is. Use these free sites to test out ideas and learn quickly to create a stronger brand. Experiment with different approaches and try to discern which channels provide you with the best results. 5. Keep close track of everything Whether it’s roadmaps, product plans or detailed marketing strategies, the key to staying within budget is to stay on top of all the resources you’re allocating. A game plan you decide on in advance and then do your best to stick to is what’s going to keep you focused on the most important tasks and give you a schedule to abide by. Getting the most bang for your buck entails knowing what, when and how you’re going to do things. A solid game-plan will keep misunderstandings and glitches in communication to a minimum, which will in turn, keep the costs of the entire process down. And there you have it! The 5 principles of building a brand without breaking the bank For a more comprehensive guide for budget-friendly brand-building, check out our channel, our medium page, or join us at one of our monthly branding workshops.

Your brand differentiates you and shows who you are and who you want to be. Your brand needs to be based on who your target customers are and what they want and need. Branding yourself allows you to talk directly to them. Your logo, website, packaging, and marketing materials should be based around your brand. How you look and communicate is also apart of your brand. Knowing the difference between marketing and branding is a key component as well. Marketing is actively promoting a product or service. It’s a push tactic. It’s pushing out a message to get sales results. Branding is more like a pull. It communicates characteristics and values. Try the following to get your brand noticed: Facebook Lives Facebook Advertising Post consistently on LinkedIn and other social media platforms Post in Facebook and LinkedIn Groups Google SEO Create business cards and drop them everywhere you are Make sure, no matter what, you always stay consistent in all of your efforts in creating your brand. Top 4 Reasons Your Brand NEEDS Memorable Links

03:33
Generic short links are fine for URL shortening - but they're not memorable. Branded Links however, are...check out 4 key reasons you need them! Share this video with the following branded link: https://rebrandly.video/MemorableLinks SUBSCRIBE for more from Rebrandly: https://Rebrandly.Video/Subscribe Generic short URLs don’t quite lend themselves to a memorable, emotional experience. They’re perfectly fine for packaging up long links into something more compact. But they’re ugly, unpronounceable, and worst of all – not memorable. Check out our tips for fixing that in the video above, and for more info check out our blog: https://rebrand.ly/mem ********************************************************** Video Transcription: When you think of standard short URLs like this would memorable be the first thing that comes to mind? Not exactly. Generic short links are perfectly fine for packaging up long URLs into something more compact but they're ugly, unpronounceable and worst of all, not memorable. Let's take a look at four reasons why having memorable, branded links, is not only helpful for your company, but essential. For starters, they're much easier to remember. Think of all the company slogans you can remember off the top of your head. "Just do it.". "I'm lovin it.". "They're grrreat.". If short phrases are so useful for creating slogans, then why not use them for creating memorable branded links, as well? Consider offline marketing, for instance. TV Interviews, radio shows, podcasts, presentations. Being able to quickly recall a short memorable link makes way more sense. It means listeners don't have to remember a long complicated URL. Here's one example of how we recently used a memorable branded link. Fliers! When hosting our first marketing meet up in Dublin recently, we shared fliers and posters with a memorable link, right here, which drove traffic to the event page. The memorability of these links was the key to their success. You see, people needed to be able to type them out, so they could remember them for later, and it worked pretty well. You also have the opportunity to show what makes your brand unique. Standing out from the crowd isn't optional. It's essential. Using branded links separates you from competitors who use generic, short URLs. By also making your link a memorable message, such as Yourbrand.is/better, you could definitely position your business as one worth remembering. If every other company wants their logo or slogan to be what the consumer remembers, be unique by focusing on the link instead. In fact, studies have shown that people need to see a brand's message seven times before it sticks in their memory. Memorable links lead to a memorable brand. Memorable links can also make it easier to engage with your content. It's a fact that most people lose concentration after seven to eight seconds. So, you need to be sure that your brand messaging makes an impact, almost immediately. In advertising, businesses focuses on having an infectious jingle, a snappy slogan, or an eye-catching design. But what happens if people remember the tune or the image, but not the brand? With memorable, branded links, your brand comes to mind straight away. If all our consumer can remember is this, then they have A, the name of your brand and B, a link to visit to find out more info. Now I don't know about you, but to me that seems far easier than trying to Google that catchy advert you saw in the cinema, or that cool billboard you saw on the way home. It just makes more sense. Memorable links are also descriptive, which means you can deliver your messaging using just the link itself. If the link you share clearly describes what lies beyond it, then there is a greater chance your audience is going to engage. Now, not only does this save space and stick in people's heads, but it has a far greater chance of being clicked on. With the potential increase of click-throughs up to 39%. That's not bad! Look, when it comes to brand memorability, it's easy for the links to be forgotten, but that needs to change. Enhance your brand's link management strategy to be more memorable. This will lead to increased brand awareness, greater consistency in your messaging, and a better customer experience overall. 10 Mistakes and Secrets You Never Knew About Famous Logos

08:25
You’d think that the most successful companies in the world invest good money for their logos to be picture-perfect, yet even Google isn’t immune to messing up a logo design. Pay attention to 10 super famous company logos that are hiding something or have design fails and mistakes in them. We all know what the White House looks like, and you’d think there’d be no possible difficulties recreating it in an image. However, there were at least 3 attempts to create a logo, all of which resulted in mistakes. Wikipedia’s logo representing knowledge has a really embarrassing mistake right in the middle of the image! You wouldn’t catch it unless you know Chinese, so we’ll let you in on the big secret. Some people saw a man bending over vomiting in the London Olympics logo, while others were joking that it looked like Lisa Simpson in a compromising position. Salvador Dali hired to design the Chupa Chups logo put the brand’s name on a bright daisy and insisted that the logo be placed on top of the wrapper so that everyone could see it. And it’s basically stayed the same since then! When asked about the imperfection of letter “G” in their logo, Google chose the best route a person can when explaining his or her mistakes. They simply said that they’re aware of the inaccurate “G”, but that was all part of the plan! This slight imperfection makes their image playful and approachable. Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music TIMESTAMPS The White House 0:38 Wendy’s 1:29 Wikipedia 2:20 Hershey’s Kisses 3:28 The London Olympics 3:54 7-Eleven 4:42 Chupa Chups 5:17 Walt Disney 6:01 Pepsi 6:47 Google 7:17 SUMMARY -The designers of the White House’s logo made mistakes depicting the arch shape, mixed up the order of the windows and even lost pillars on the roof. -You might see nothing special in Wendy’s white and blue striped collar, but a closer look will reveal the word “mom” right in the center. -Wikipedia logo’s designer meant to write the Chinese word “wi”, but one tiny yet extra stroke made the symbol gibberish. -Lean your head towards your left shoulder, and you’ll get a sweet surprise: a chocolate kiss between the “K” and “I”. -Iranian participants in the London Olympic Games were upset by the peculiar style of the numbers 2012 because they read the word “Zion” in it. -All the letters in the word “eleven” in 7-Eleven logo are capitalized, except for one: the “n”. -The creator of Chupa Chups Spaniard Enric Bernat picked the most famous surrealist artist in the world Salvador Dali himself to design the new brand logo. -Those elegant swirls in the “W”, “i” and “y” in Disney logo look exactly like three sixes in a row. -If you wanna see what Pepsi can potentially do to you, just add a little circle on top of its logo, some arms and legs, and voila. -The letter “G” in Google logo doesn’t look the way it should. It’s not the complete perfect circle it’s supposed to be, and the inner circle is also far from ideal.
