8. Charlie Sheen
The enigma that is Charlie Sheen continues to elude people. What is this man thinking? Is he actually crazy? How wild does he actually live? Now 53 years old, he was once the highest paid actor on television, getting paid about $1.8 million per episode of Two and a Half Men. His lifestyle of partying and women and the abuse of substances left not much to be admired from the general public. He’s notorious for being unprofessional and said to have anger issues (which is funny because he then would have a show called Anger Management.
7. Stephen Collins
He’s no A list star but if you watched 7th Heaven back in the day, then you recognize Stephen Collins as the not perfect yet loveable dad Eric Camden. In real life, turns out he’s really not perfect. In 2014, audio recordings leaked of someone confessing to the abuse of a minor. It seemed to be a male voice, one that police found to be Stephen Collins. Two years prior, Collins was investigated for an abuse claim from 40 years ago. Collins admitted that he did commit these misconducts against underage females, once in 1973, 1982, and 1994. Not exactly a wholesome picture.
6. Chris Brown
If you know what transpired between Rihanna and Chris Brown in 2009, then you know a big reason why people hate Chris Brown. He was taken into custody one night nearly 10 years ago due to allegations of domestic violence. The pictures of Rihanna’s face from that night were released and that’s all people needed to suddenly realize what kind of person Chris Brown was (he pleaded not guilty by the way). There’s still lots of people that admire him for his music, however. He’s had some other violent outbursts reported in the news, such as throwing a chair through a window and punching a paparazzi person.
5. Sean Penn
Some think Sean Penn has had a past of violence against women, a subject he says is far from the truth. There was word of allegations of assault his former wife Madonna filed against him in the late 80s for him having beat her during their marriage. On the subject, Madonna said that the allegations weren’t true and were actually “outrageous, malicious, reckless, and false.” So what are other reasons people hate Sean Penn? Perhaps it was the violent interactions with the press in the past, the strangeness of his involvement with El Chapo, and or how he later he sent to the South Park creators that was not at all pleasant.
4. Mel Gibson
He was one of the most revered actors in Hollywood if we got back about a decade and a half. Mel Gibson made a name for himself by starring in some of the biggest movies of all time, including the Mad Max movies, Braveheart, and Lethal Weapon. He also directed critically acclaimed movies Passion of the Christ and Apocalypto. Then Gibson did something that changed his reputation forever: he’d get charged with DUI and then verbally assaulted his the girlfriend in an audiotape. He never really recovered from the backlash he got from that, though he tried, having starred in Daddy’s Home 2 last year and making more and more appearances on the red carpet.
3. Donald Trump
What do Donald Trump and Justin Bieber have in common? Well aside from their strange hair that at times looks strikingly alike, lots of people may hate them but lots of people also love them. Clearly lots of people loved or at least sided with Donald Trump--he ended up winning the United States presidency. Those who hate Donald Trump point out his treatment of women and how he speaks about them, his past controversies, and how he’s lied about lots of things, especially about being a self-made millionaire. Many say there has never been such a divisive presidency in the history of America. What’s the president doing on a Hollywood list? Let’s not forget that Trump was once a reality star.
2. Bill Cosby
There was a spanse of time when Bill Cosby was considered one of the greatest TV dads of all time. He held that title for a long time, ever since the sitcom The Cosby Show aired on television between 1984 and 1992. It was a staple American family show and Cosby was a staple American comedian. Then Came the assault accusations that spanned back decades, claimed by over 60 women. That brings us, too...
