Elon Musk: How to Start a Business (Elon Musk 2017)

30:40
Elon Musk: How to Start a Business! Seriously Take Notes! Did you know Tesla has a zero dollar marketing budget? It’s true. Despite operating in the emerging alternate energy car market (and rampant skepticism that electric cars could even compete), Tesla had an incredibly successful IPO in 2010 and continues to struggle to produce cars fast enough to meet demand. It seems amazing that they’ve been able to pull that off without marketing, but Elon Musk’s explanation for their success is simple: a relentless focus on making the highest-quality cars possible. The vast majority of Tesla’s budget (and about 70% of Musk’s time and energy as CEO) is devoted to research and development. Musk only spends 2 to 3% of his time talking to the press, with plans to cut it down to 1% so he can free up time for – you guessed it! – more focus on engineering and design. Marketing done right can be extremely powerful; I’m not saying it has no place in your business model. The vast majority of us don’t have Elon Musk-level capital to fund our businesses and get them off the ground. But if it comes down to a choice between more marketing for a mediocre product, or money money spent improving product quality, I’d choose quality every time. Quality outlasts trends and bids for brief attention. It leaves a lasting impression – one that turns customers into lifelong fans and the most effective marketers you could dream of. 11:59
Get the exercise to build enthusiasm and commitment in under 1 minute: https://goo.gl/Hg42Mi Kevin Hart's 3 Secrets To Hilarious Storytelling Kevin Hart is one of the funniest men alive. Whether in interviews with Ellen Degeneres or George Lopez, or his standup specials, he tells absolutely hilarious stories. In fact, most of his standup routine consists of him telling stories. But he does it in such a way that hooks an audience and never lets go, partially because he is able to include so many jokes. It's not that Kevin Hart's life is inherently more interesting than the rest of ours. He is just a better storyteller. The good news is that storytelling is not something you're born with or you're not. Anyone can learn to tell the kind of funny stories that made Kevin famous. You just need to know the most important pieces. While there are many storytelling techniques and styles that will enable you to captivate an audience, ultimately, the best storytellers share a few things in common: they get attention, they commit, and they are constantly refining their craft. These fundamentals can be used in any kind of story but they are especially useful for funny stories So if you want to know how to tell a story better or you are just are interested in what makes Kevin Hart's stories so engaging, check out the video. Basic CDL Air Brake Components | Air Brake Smart

Coupon "youtube30" CLICK THE LINK https://www.smartdrivetest.com/pass-cdl-air-brakes-course There are 6 basic components on an air brake equipped vehicle: 1) compressor; 2) governor; 3) air tanks; 4) air lines; 5) brake pedal; 6) foundation brakes. The air compressor on an air brake equipped vehicle is exactly the same as an air compressor you would find in a garage. The only difference is that an air compressor on an air brake equipped vehicle runs the entire time the motor is running; therefore, it is controlled by the governor. The governor controls the maximum and minimum setting of the air compressor because the air compressor is capable of pumping up to 500psi (pounds per square inch). The governor must return the air compressor to the load or cut-in phase by a minimum of 80psi. And it must return the air compressor to the cut-out or unload phase by a maximum pressure of 135psi. All air brake systems are equipped with a safety valve, which blows off excess pressure at 150psi. You will know it is the safety valve because it makes a sound like a machine gun. The air tanks or reservoirs store compressed air. As well, the air tanks are the first fail-safe of the air brake system because these store enough compressed air for 10-12 full service brake applications. The air lines direct compressed air through the air brake system. The air lines are not coloured coded except the service and supply lines that connect the semi-trailer to the tractor or truck. The brake pedal applies the service brakes, which are the brakes that bring the vehicle to a stop while it's going up and down the road. And the foundation brakes are the components of the air brake system that are actually responsible for bringing the vehicle to a stop: • brake chambers • push rod • slack adjuster • 'S' cam • brake shoes (pads) • brake drum • rotor • callipers And the foundation brakes can be any of the following; however, drum and disc brakes are most common on today's vehicles: • drum ('S' cam) brakes • disc brakes • wedge brakes • CamLaster brakes • air-over-hydraulic brakes The foundation brakes—in this day & age—will be 2 basic types: drum or disc brakes. Foundation brakes also consist of air-over-hydraulic and wedge brakes - you will need to know the latter for the purposes of the air brake knowledge test. Good luck on your road test! ********************** www.smartdrivetest.com www.facebook.com/smartdrivetest www.twitter.com/smartdrivetest www.instagram.com/smartdrivetest

In this section, we’re going to take a look at Mail Merge. Now you’ve probably heard of mail merge before. You may even have done mail merges before. And it’s one of the main applications of Microsoft Word in many offices and businesses around the world. Now progressively over versions of Microsoft Word, the mail merge facilities have been considerably improved both in terms of how flexible and powerful they are and in terms of how easy they are to use. But it is still the case that many people manage to find the mail merge a pretty difficult thing to do and do get in quite a bit of trouble with it. Now from the point of view of showing you how to do a mail merge, what I’m going to aim to do here is to take you through one or two very straightforward examples and then I think it’s very important that you practice some of those basic ones before you try to do anything too complicated yourself. As you go into the more complex possibilities within mail merge and I will mention some of these briefly as we go along, the basic procedures, the basic principle still apply. So it’s important to understand the basics first before you try to do anything too complicated. So in this section, I’m going to do a full but straightforward mail merge. First of all, I’ve opened and empty blank document and click on Mailings and on the Mailings tab which we haven’t looked at so far, there are a number of groups and I want to quickly talk about those groups because to some extent they explain what a mail merge consists of. Basically, we can create various types of object to mail merge with. Let’s suppose you’ve got a list of customers and as part of your mail merge, you’re going to create an envelope for each customer to send a letter to. Well, this first group here, the Create Group, is a place where you can create envelopes. If you don’t use envelopes, if you’re doing something where you need to produce labels, then you’ve got an option here to create labels. Now in terms of actually starting the mail merge, that’s the button there. That’s the one we’re going to click at the moment. But before you really get started on the mail merge, you may want to setup a list of recipients. So again, let’s suppose you’ve got a list of customers that you’re going to send a mail out to. Let’s also suppose that in some way you need to filter your standard list of clients. So perhaps you’re sending something out to clients who are generally interested a particular type of product. So that’s where you select your recipients. That’s how you get the mail merge started. This group in the middle, Write and insert fields, this is where we actually setup the fields in the document that we are going to merge. Now in order to explain this, I want to take a very simple example. Let’s suppose we’re going to just send a Happy New Year letter to all of our clients. All we really need to do in the letter is to put in the name of address of this client, probably a salutation like Dear Sir or Hello Jim or whatever it might be, and that’s pretty much it, but we want to write one letter and we’re going to mail it to hundreds or maybe thousands of clients and it’s going to look like a personal letter to each of those clients. Now those fields, that’s things like the salutation, the name of the client, and the lines of the address are what are called the Merge Fields and this is where we can control the fields. 👉🏻 Check Out The NEW Simple Programmer YouTube Channel With NEW Programming Videos: https://simpleprogrammer.com/yt/spnewytchannel 💻 How To Create a Selenium Test Automation Framework Architecture FREE COURSE - 5 Learning Mistakes Software Developers Make https://simpleprogrammer.com/learn-faster How To Create a Selenium Test Automation Framework Architecture Learning how to use a tool like Selenium to create automated tests is not enough to be successful with an automation effort. You also need to know how to build an automation framework that can support creating tests that are not so fragile that they constantly break. This is the real key to success in any automation effort. In this short presentation, I will reveal every secret I know from creating a test automation framework architecture using Selenium. I will show you exactly, step-by-step how to create your own automation framework and I will explain to you the reasoning behind everything we are doing, so you can apply what you learn to your own framework. If you are responsible for an automation project for a web application or you want to start using automation, you’ll definitely want to check this presentation out. Selenium automates browsers. That's it! What you do with that power is entirely up to you. Primarily, it is for automating web applications for testing purposes, but is certainly not limited to just that. Boring web-based administration tasks can (and should!) be automated as well. Selenium has the support of some of the largest browser vendors who have taken (or are taking) steps to make Selenium a native part of their browser. It is also the core technology in countless other browser automation tools, APIs and frameworks. SUBSCRIBE for weekly productivity and performance training Get a free download and training --► http://mintfull.com/success * ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Get the book here - http://amzn.to/2bQL5ad Getting Things Done by David Allen is one of the staples of personal and professional productivity. Getting Things Done, or GTD for short has been on the top sellers' list for more than a decade (it first came out in 2001) and with good reason. David Allen has managed to create a system that you can use both at work, at school and at home - it is almost universal. The book though is rather complex and lengthy and you can get lost in the nitty-gritty of the it all. And when you are overwhelmed, you cannot be productive. That's why this video is so essential - in just 8 minutes, you'll be able to understands the core principles of Getting Things Done and start applying them in your life. Not to mention, the video is completely FREE, while you'll have to spend a few bucks to get your own copy of GTD. Don't get me wrong though, the book is rather great, but you have to have the patience to go through all of it and it does get rather technical at times. The best course of action would be the following - watch the video, learn David Allen's GTD concepts, apply them to your life and see how it goes. If you are happy with the results (as you most likely will be), head over to Amazon and get yourself a copy of the actual book. This video will break down for you the core principles of GTD in only 5 steps - capture, process, organize, review and engage (it will make more sense once you've seen the video). Watch the GTD summary, take action and apply it to your life and you'll see dramatic results. Understanding Getting Things Done has never been easier - it only takes 8 minutes. Let me know if you have any questions in the comment section below. Also, make sure to let me know if there is a book you'd like me to summarise and review for you. ------------------------------------------ FREE Training and Download on "How Super Successful People Schedule Their Time For Maximum Performance (And How YOU Can Do It Too): http://www.mintfull.com/success ------------------------------------------ Kosio Angelov is the #1 Amazon bestselling author of the "Lean Email Simple System" and a master trainer in the art of "doing the right things, the right way". Intro to Game Theory and the Dominant Strategy Equilibrium

03:59
http://economicsdetective.com/ Game theory is the study of human behaviour in strategic settings. It is used to solve some of the harder problems in economics. So what is a game? To have a game, you need at least two players, sometimes called agents, or, if you want to be really crazy, people. And you need payoffs for the players, you need to define the outcomes they can potentially get depending on how the game unfolds. And finally, you need rules for the game. Now, it's not always obvious how people will behave, even with players, payoffs, and rules clearly defined. That's why game theorists have a number of solution concepts for games, including the dominant strategy equilibrium, the Nash equilibrium, the subgame perfect Nash equilibrium, the Bayesian equilibrium, and the weak perfect Bayesian equilibrium. The most basic solution concept is the dominant strategy equilibrium. In a game, each player can have any number of possible strategies. One strategy strictly dominates another strategy if the player is always better off under that strategy no matter what other players do. If one strategy strictly dominates every other possible strategy a player could take, that strategy is a strictly dominant strategy. We have a dominant strategy equilibrium when all players play a strictly dominant strategy. Now let's look at the most famous game in game theory, the Prisoner's Dilemma. There are two prisoners, prisoner 1 and prisoner 2, and they each have a choice. They can testify against the other, or they can keep quiet. If they both keep quiet, they both get off with a light sentence, which I'll represent with a payoff of 2. Prisoner 1's payoff is on the left, prisoner 2's is on the right. If they both testify, they both get a moderate sentence. I'll represent the moderate sentence by a payoff of 0. Right about now, keeping quiet is looking like the best option, but there's more to this game. If one testifies and the other keeps quiet, the one who testified will get off scot free, and the one who kept quiet will get an extremely harsh sentence; they'll throw the book at him. Think about this game for a moment. Keeping quiet looks like a pretty good option if both prisoners could promise not to testify. But these prisoners only care about their own self-interest. So, both prisoners may tell the other they pinky swear not to testify, but they won't keep that promise. If prisoner 2 keeps quiet, prisoner 1 is better off testifying. If prisoner 2 testifies, prisoner 1 is better off testifying. Testifying is a dominant strategy for both players, so both testifying is the dominant strategy equilibrium. The prisoner's dilemma comes up in all sorts of situations. For instance, instead of prisoners our players could be, say, oil companies. If both set a high price they can sell for a high price, but each one has an incentive to undercut, in which case he will capture the entire market. The equilibrium outcome is for each company to charge a low price. The prisoner's dilemma isn't the only game with a dominant strategy equilibrium. Here's a more complicated one. Can you tell which strategy is dominant? It's A for player 1, and E for player 2. So the dominant strategy equilibrium is A, E.

How to Play Chess: The Complete Guide for Beginners

12:46
How to Play Chess. Who doesn't want to be a cool intellectual and play chess like a pro? This game definitely stands out from everything else and has tons of admirers all over the world. So do you want to join in and learn the basic rules and even some winning tricks and techniques? In that case, this video guide is what you’ve been looking for. To win and become a true chess champion, your task is to checkmate your opponent's king. It may sound like a piece of cake, but it's way more complicated than you might think! Checkmate basically means putting the king in a position where he’ll be captured because he can't move or be protected by any other piece. The more of your opponent's pieces you capture, the easier it'll be to checkmate. Just don't focus all your energy on this. Your own king should be properly protected at all times so that your opponent can’t get to him. To win and become a true chess champion, your task is to checkmate your opponent's king. There are files, which are the columns going up and down, pointing at you and your opponent and marked from A to H. And then there are ranks: the horizontal rows from 1 to 8. -The rook is placed at the corners of the board, which are A1 and H1 for one player and A8 and H8 for the other. The best thing about rooks is that they can move any number of vacant squares both vertically and horizontally. -Knights are placed on squares B1 and G1 for one player and B8 and G8 for the other. Unlike rooks, knights can jump over other pieces, and they're actually the only piece that can do that. -Bishops can move over any number of free squares in a diagonal direction. Just like rooks, they can capture an opponent's piece standing in their way by stopping on that piece's square. -You only get one queen (D1 for a white queen or D8 for a black queen), and she’s the most powerful piece on the board — basically the rook and bishop combined. The king's place is one of the 2 last empty squares: E1 and E8. The king isn't as powerful as the queen and can only move one square at a time horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. -Pawns take the rows from A2 to H2 for one player and from A7 to H7 for the other. Pawns move one square forward with one exception: the first time they move, pawns can go forward either one or 2 squares. -Checkmate basically means putting the king in a position where he’ll be captured because he can't move or be protected by any other piece. The more of your opponent's pieces you capture, the easier it'll be to checkmate. -Pawns, for example, are stronger when they're together in chains to protect one another. Knights can control up to 8 squares, but when you put them near the edge this number gets cut in half. Bishops are at their strongest when they're on or near long diagonals - they can control more squares. Rooks have the most power in open files. -If you want to make your own rules on the chessboard and be the main force of the game, try to control the center of the board. Your opening can help you do that: a D or E pawn is a great way to start and open the center of the board. -“En passant” is a special capture move that a pawn can make. If you're playing with white, your pawn must be on the fifth rank for it, and it's the fourth rank for black. -If a pawn reaches the far side of the board, which is the eighth rank for white and the first rank for black, it must immediately be promoted to any other piece (except for the king). -To make the “castling” move, move your king 2 squares toward any rook, and then hop that rook over the king so it lands on the square next to the king. SIMPLIFYING THE COMPLEX FOR TRIAL

01:22
I have said many times that if you set out to try a patent case, you will set out to lose a patent case. Because a patent case cannot be treated fundamentally differently than any other trial, whether it be a breach of contract, a fraud case or really even a criminal case. There are basic principles involved in telling a compelling story, setting out the characters, and creating a story that the judge or the jury want to believe in. They want to believe it because you presented it credibly, and you presented it clearly. Those principles apply whether you're talking about semiconductors or whether you're talking about fraud. I very much try to avoid, quote, "trying a patent case" or "trying a breach of contract case." If you're trying a patent case you're often trying the case about invention. You're sometimes trying a case about theft or copying. Sometimes you're trying a case about greed. If you're trying a breach of contract case, you're trying a case about broken promises, dashed expectations. So I don't think that the subject matter should govern it as much as what is the compelling story that should be able to tell. Thomas M. A Beginner's Guide to Punnett Squares

12:15
Paul Andersen introduces the Punnett Square as a a powerful tool in genetic analysis. He tries to address major misconceptions that students have when use a Punnett Square. He gives a number of examples of monohybrid crosses and one example of a dihybrid cross. The square is a simple tool that uses the outcome of meiosis to determine possible offspring in a cross. Typography Tutorial - 10 rules to help you rule type

03:35
Graphic Design Tutorial: 10 Typography rules to help you improve your type skills. Get better at graphic design by understanding how to use type. Improve your layouts instantly by following these 10 easy to follow rules. How can you quickly apply typographic rules to regain control of your layouts by following these 10 golden rules of typography? These rules are distilled down from the things that I learned by going to Art Center College of Design. Generally speaking, there are two types of typography– expressive typography (type is visual, carries the meaning of the word and sometimes appears as physical shapes) and functional typography (type that is meant to be read). I will focus on the latter. When starting out, it is best to learn the fundamentals of good design: hierarchy (primary, secondary and tierchiary reads), flow (how a person “reads” the layout by following the movement of their attention), legibility (in Western culture, type is read top to bottom, left to right so it’s important to arrange type accordingly), grouping (organizing blocks of type in intelligent and logical groups) and interest, achieved through contrast (scale, texture, color, density, negative space). Use any typeface you like as long as it’s one of the following: Akzidenz Grotesque, Avenir, Avant Garde, Bell Gothic, Bodoni, Bembo, Caslon, Clarendon, Courier, Din Mittelschrift, Franklin Gothic, Frutiger, Futura, Garamond, Gill Sans, Gotham, Helvetica, Letter Gothic, Memphis, Meta, OCRB, Rockwell, Sabon, Trade Gothic, Trajan and Univers. _________________________________________________________________ Great books to learn more about typography: Stop Stealing Sheep & Find Out How Type Works by Erik Spiekermann http://amzn.to/2iNXwC8 Josef Müller Brockmann Pioneer of Swiss Graphic Design http://amzn.to/2k7o5Yb Typography Manual @2017 Chris Do https://blind.com/blog/typography-manual/ _________________________________________________________________ Animation by: Leo Dinh Red Cat Motion http://redcatmotion.com Music and sound design by: Adam Sanborne http://adamsanborne.com _ Listen to our podcast on iTunes: The Futur https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/the-futur/id1152604340?mt=2 Android Stitcher http://www.stitcher.com/podcast/aaron/the-futur HOW TO SUPPORT THE FUTUR: Purchase a Kit: http://theskool.co/collections/all or subscribe to the secret and private Master mind group on Facebook with exclusive videos not released anywhere else.
