Visit http://www.freshersworld.com?src=Youtube for detailed Career information,Job Opportunities,Higher Education details of FASHION DESIGNING. Out of all the design jobs available, fashion designing happens to be the most phenomenal and versatile one. Here you have the fine opportunity to learn about clothing, accessories and the designs which can be implemented for styling purposes. Fashion designing is quite a lucrative job and is in heavy demand these days. Whether it is Hollywood or Bollywood, fashion designers are very much needed for preparing bewitching and glamorous outfits for red carpet events, parties and other occasions that involve celebrities. The top countries for studying fashion designing include UK, Japan, United States of America, France and Italy. The fashion industry is very competitive. And in order to secure a good job, it is very important for a student to get enough training. He/she should be a creative person with exemplary artistic skills. Also a course in English, business, maths or sewing can be used as a proper foundation. If you are too ambitious, a simple degree might not suffice. Masters degree and certificate programmes are also available so that you can educate yourself enough to start a prosperous and bright career in fashion designing. There are several careers you can find in this field itself. Some include sketchers, cutters and pattern makers, sewers and fit technicians, head designers, specialty designs and of course the trend researchers. Other career opportunities you can explore in the field of fashion include fashion marketing, journalism, public relations, performing arts, photography, management and merchandising. To become a successful fashion designer, it is very important to get a diploma or degree at first. It might be easy to enrol yourself in a decent university, but it is often difficult to pay the course fees since it isnt inexpensive after all. However, there are a couple of big universities that offer scholarships to students who have talent and are keen enough to show some effort. India has also recognized fashion designing recently. Some of the best institutions that offer this course include National Institute of Fashion Technology (Delhi), Vogue Institute of Fashion Technology (Bangalore), Symbiosis Institute of Design (Pune), and National Institute of Design (Ahmedabad). A few international colleges are also offering certificate and diploma courses on fashion designing. Some of the bright institutions falling under this category are: • University of North Texas (United States of America) • Melbourne School of Fashion (Australia) • University of Westminster (United Kingdom) • Raffles Design Institute (Singapore) • Paris College of Art (France) • Ryerson University School of Fashion (Canada) Once you have graduated from fashion school, prepare a resume with all achievements enlisted in detail. You can always apply to PR firms if you want to work with celebrities or simply try your luck at a fashion production house. Some universities offer job opportunities for students too. So look out for them as well. For more jobs & career information and daily job alerts, subscribe to our channel and support us. Visit http://icould.com/videos/louisa-j/ for more careers info. Louisa J is the Business Manager for Royal Mail in South London. Her education prepared her for a career in the fashion industry. But when she got there she had second thoughts. "The people were very unreal. You would have clients come in and people would, you know, do the kiss on the cheek, or rather in the air, 'Darling, sweetie,' and all this. It's just like on the TV. To me it didn't fit with my values."Highlights at http://icould.com/videos/louisa-j/?length=short

It was only last year that I decided to continue in fashion and actually work towards my dream!” While taking the Fashion Technology program at Murdoch MacKay High School, Carley designed and styled costumes for two musicals. Her collection, Cityscape, was inspired by Winnipeg’s architecture. The collection incorporates a mix of Winnipeg’s old and new buildings. London Graduate Fashion Week - University of South Wales
For more information on studying fashion at the University of South Wales visit: http://www.southwales.ac.uk/fashion/why-usw/ Fashion Design students at the University of South Wales Newport City Campus have been wowing the crowds with their collections at this year's Graduate Fashion Week. Held at Earl's Court Exhibition Centre in London from 2nd to 5th June, 28 third year students have brought their portfolios to the prestigious event, which is the biggest of its kind in the world. Now in its 22nd year, Graduate Fashion Week is an opportunity for industry scouts and experts to discover the very best young designers and recruit them not only in the UK, but also offer opportunities with leading fashion houses and creative industries globally. More than 1,000 of the finest graduating Fashion students from 40 universities across the UK and overseas showcase their work to potential employers. Designers such as Stella McCartney, Julien Macdonald and Matthew Williamson all started their careers after being spotted at the event. The University's stand -- which came runner up in the best stand competition, coming second to Nottingham Trent University -- was created using stunning images of the final year collections taken by students on the Photography for Fashion and Advertising degree, set against an urban style backdrop of chipboards and graffiti paint. And for the first time, three collections from University of South Wales students were selected to be part of the event's Gala Award Show, the grand finale to the week which is watched and judged by some of the world's most successful designers. The University of South Wales is the first Welsh institution ever to be involved in the show. Six of the University of South Wales students taking part in Graduate Fashion Week also entered this year's George at Asda clothing competition. Lucy Flint went on to win first prize in the Childrenswear category with her designs, while Stacey Clement collected second prize in Childrenswear, and Melissa Hancocks was named the winner of the T-shirt design category as well as a finalist in Womenswear. Both Lucy and Melissa will see their products developed by George and sold online and in selected stores throughout the summer, as well as receiving cash prizes and benefiting from work placements with the label. Carrie Jones, Michelle Leeder and Helga Gydesden were all named finalists in the Childrenswear and Womenswear categories.
