He reads the email. In this video men's style, grooming, fitness and lifestyle expert, Aaron Marino of IAmAlphaM, AaronMarino, and Pete & Pedro talks about being too nice and being boring. Girls don't think you're 'too nice'. She just wasn't attracted to you. Alpha adds that being boring is an epidemic of massive proportion. We are replacing experiences and learning with technology time sucks, killing time, and entertainment. Steps to Be Less Boring 1. Boring is a state of mind - people aren't boring. We feel boring. Proclaim instead that we are awesome, amazing, and interesting. 2. Be well rounded as an individual - don't just focus on one or two specific things. You need to seek out inspiration and education from the world around you. Don't isolate yourself. Learn about the world around you. Seek knowledge. 3. Try something new every single day - routine and interesting's kryptonite. Try new food, take a different route to work, listen to something else in the car... break the ruts! 4. Seek and engage someone new in a conversation every day - don't stay in a social bubble, interacting with the same people. Learn from new people to enhance your life experiences and interpersonal relationships. 5. Constantly seek self improvement - experiences create life! Try new things!

Scientists have proven that we form our first impression about someone within the first 7 seconds of meeting them, and 55% of the first impression is based on appearance. Pay attention to 12 common things you should avoid not to ruin the first impression. In his research, psychologist William F. Chaplin found that people with a weak handshake are instantly judged as being shy, anxious, uninterested, or even completely incompetent. If you place your hands on the table, don’t squeeze them too tight or lay them flat with your palms down. This makes people feel like you want to control them. Also, don’t forget about the role that culture plays here. A 2007 study showed that people who maintain eye contact during a conversation are often seen as more confident, attentive, intelligent, and trustworthy. Try not to focus the conversation only on yourself and your issues. It’s always a good idea to be attentive to your conversation partner. Tapping can indicate nervousness, irritation, or impatience. People might even think that you’re purposely trying to irritate others or draw attention to yourself. And while cracking your knuckles can help relieve stress, it’s one of the most annoying sounds according to a survey by The New York Times. A study from the University of Essex showed that even just having one’s phone on the table next to them reduces a conversation’s quality and the participants’ engagement. So leave it in your bag or in your pocket. Running late to a meeting with people you don’t know or have a formal relationship with will shed a guaranteed negative light on you. You’ll seem like an unreliable and unorganized person that doesn’t respect people enough to value their time. Music: About That Oldie Vibe Tracks Josefina Quincas Moreira Merengue de Limon Quincas Moreira Pink Lemonade Silent Partner https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music TIMESTAMPS A weak handshake 0:38 Keeping your hands in the wrong position 1:25 Chewing gum 2:15 Avoiding eye-contact 3:01 Playing with your hair 3:41 Picking the wrong conversation topics 4:25 Invading someone’s personal space 5:07 Making distracting noises 5:49 Constantly checking your phone 6:34 Forgetting people’s names 7:23 Being late 8:00 The wrong attire 8:47 SUMMARY -If you wanna give the right impression of confidence and capability, remember to grip the other person’s hand firmly and for no longer than 2 seconds. -Put your hands on your lap if you want, but never keep them in your pockets because this gives the impression that you’re hiding something. -Chewing on gum makes you look immature, self-centered, and somewhat low-brow. -Don't be afraid to lock eyes with another person from time to time instead of constantly looking around, especially when you meet them for the first time. -If you tend to play with your hair when you’re nervous, try to kick this habit, you could be sending them the wrong message. -Play it safe and avoid the general “taboo” topics out there. They include health problems, money, religion, politics, or personal problems and complaints. -When it comes to meeting someone for the first time, keep a minimum of 4 feet between the two of you. -It can be nearly impossible to control nervous tapping, but you have to try, especially during important meetings or presentations. -Even if you’re just checking the time on your screen, it comes off as extremely impolite when you do it during a conversation. -Immediately repeate someone’s name after you’ve been introduced. In case you forget the name, just play it cool and try to avoid using phrases where you have to name the other person. -Leave your house in enough time so that you don’t have to run to your meeting. You’ll be all disheveled and unfocused, and that looks bad too. -If you’re meeting somebody for the very first time, again, especially in more formal situations, try to be conservative in your choice of clothing, be polished, and don’t use heavy perfume or tons of makeup. If you are shy, you NEED to watch this! Shy people have a hard time talking in social situations. I used to be shy too, but look at me now! In today's lesson, I'll teach you to overcome your shyness! First, I will help you understand the reasons that you are shy. Then, I'll give you lots of tips on how to start a conversation. Click on today's lesson -- don't be shy! http://www.engvid.com/conversation-skills-dont-be-shy/ TRANSCRIPT Hi, there. My name is Ronnie. Today, I'm going to teach you something very fun and exciting and important. It's how to improve your speaking. Whether you're speaking English or whether you're doing public speaking in front of people or whether you're just speaking to a neighbor, someone on the bus, someone in a store, or a taxi driver, you might be shy. What does "shy" mean? "Shy" means you don't like -- or you're nervous -- to speak to strangers or to speak to other people. So if you are naturally a shy person, I'm sure you've heard people over and over again say, "Don't be shy! Come on. Don't be shy!" Easier said than done, isn't it, shy people? So I want to give you some tips or some pointers maybe to help you to be less shy. It's impossible to be 100 percent outgoing if you are naturally a shy person. So today's lesson is how you improve your speaking. Don't be shy! The first thing that you have to do is think about why. "Why am I shy?" There may be many different reasons. I'm just going to go through a couple of them. The number one reason, probably, if you're watching these videos, is because you are trying to speak a new language. Maybe it is English. And you are shy to make a mistake. You don't want to say something bad, funny, rude, embarrassing. You don't want your face to go red and they'll go, "Ha ha! You said a funny word!" Okay. That will happen. And you know what? Who cares? It happens all the time. I say funny things a lot, too. Another reason why you may be shy is because you "talk funny". Lots of people have different problems with their mouths. Some people have a speech impediment. Some people have a lisp, so they don't pronounce words probably like me. Maybe you have a very strange or different accent than the other people around you. People often ask me, "Ronnie, where are you from?" And I say, "Canada." And they say, "No, you're not." "Yes, I am." "But you have an accent." "Yes. I have an accent. I talk funny. Who cares? I'm from Canada. Nice to meet you." So even if you do talk funny or you do have an accent, rock with it. Yeah. You speak differently. Good. Don't be like other people. Other people are boring. This is a problem. Maybe you just don't like to talk. Okay? Maybe you are quiet. Maybe you don't want to talk to anyone ever, at all. That's cool. If you don't like people and you don't like to talk, don't force yourself to talk. Maybe you could write something. Maybe you could text message or email someone. But that's not going to improve your speaking. If you do not like to talk to people, that's your choice. But I'm trying to help you overcome your shyness. So let's go through a couple ways to actually do this. Don't be shy! Just say, "Hi!" So if you're standing at a bus stop or the subway station or anywhere, and there's another human being beside you -- let's say that you're at a bar, and there's a beautiful girl or a very handsome boy. The quickest, the easiest, and the best way to speak to someone is just to say, "Hi! My name is Ronnie." Don't use "Ronnie", though. That's my name. You have to use your name. So just say "hi" to people. If they want to speak to you, they will start the conversation. They will say, "Oh, hi. My name is --. Nice to meet you." "Oh, nice to meet you, too." Uh-oh! And then, your shyness sets in because -- "What do I say? Shoes. I have shoes. Do you have shoes? Oh, God. I'm such an idiot. I can't even speak." Maybe the other person will have asked you a person. You can always ask people basic questions, like, "Where are you from? Why do you talk funny? Why are you shy?" All those fun questions. When you're actually speaking to someone, it's really important that you choose a topic that you like. So if I were to meet someone -- "Hi. My name is Ronnie." "Hi." "Cool. So -- oh, I like music. Do you like the Sex Pistols?" "Yeah." "Me, too. Oh, my God. No way! What other kind of music to you like?" So I like to talk to people about music. The only problem is not a lot of people like the same music I do. So you have to choose a topic that you like to talk about. If you're lucky, the other person will also like the topic. The next one: Get a job. Now, this might be very strange for you to even comprehend, but I -- right here -- am shy.

With comedy, you not only laugh but you also gain understanding in a unique way. Comedy has a setup and then a punch line. The setup moves the audience in one direction-toward what is expected. The punch line occurs when you change direction and take the audience to the unexpected. This same process can be applied to life. Comedian Michael Jr. shows how to take your life's setups and then change direction in a way that brings fulfillment, revelation, and joy not only to you but also to those around you. Once in a generation, a comedian comes along who speaks to everyone. Today, that comedian is known simply as Michael Jr. Watch him onstage and you’ll see a man at ease…with himself, his audience, and his message. Listen to his voice and you’ll detect a comfortable, conversational style that hides a sly sense of mischief. Hear his words and you’ll laugh at the universal themes that connect us all. Pete McGraw is a leading researcher at the Humor Research Lab at the University of Colorado, Boulder. In this talk he not only discusses what is funny, but what makes something funny as well. About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.) About TED TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. Started as a four-day conference in California 25 years ago, TED has grown to support those world-changing ideas with multiple initiatives. The annual TED Conference invites the world's leading thinkers and doers to speak for 18 minutes. Their talks are then made available, free, at TED.com. TED speakers have included Bill Gates, Al Gore, Jane Goodall, Elizabeth Gilbert, Sir Richard Branson, Nandan Nilekani, Philippe Starck, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Isabel Allende and UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown. This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. In this talk Andrew Tarvin talks about how he brought humor to the workplace while he worked at Procter & Gamble. After being complimented by co-workers on how humor helped them enjoy their work, Andrew decided to start becoming a humor engineer--using humor to help people become more efficient and effective in the workplace. For a final project presentation while working at Procter & Gamble, Andrew Tarvin made presentation slides using Microsoft Paint to bring humor to his PowerPoint presentations. Since then, he has used the skills he learned as an engineer (and his funny personality) to show people how to use humor in the workplace. Andrew Tarvin is an award-winning speaker, best-selling author, and international comedian. He's worked with more than 100 organizations including Procter & Gamble, GE, and Western & Southern Life Insurance on topics including humor in the workplace, communicating confidently, leadership through change, and strategic disengagement. He is also the author of the best-selling book 501 Ways to Use Humor at Work. Andrew graduated with a degree in Computer Science & Engineering from The Ohio State University, where he was also a co-founder of the 8th Floor Improv Comedy Group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

FREE conversation training report reveals 12 conversation topics that prevent you from running out of things to say... Get it HERE: http://textagirlnow.com/12-conversation-topics-free-report-best-topics-for-conversation-with-a-girl-y-i/ Ever walk up to a woman and said "hi" but then got so nervous and walked away because you couldn't find anything else to say? Of course you have! The number one fear holding men back from walking up to a woman and saying "hi" is not having anything to say after "hello" Luckily, I got a chance to interview Bobby Rio. He is a master at transforming "dull and boring" conversations into "fun and flirty" conversations that get girls attracted to you. And so I asked Bobby, "what are the best topics for conversation with a girl?" He told me he had a huge realization. He realized that in order to have conversations where you inject topics that get girls emotional... you've gotta be able to first keep the conversation going! To make this happen, Bobby has a strategy. The strategy is to keep away from the unattractive topics, and instead aim for the ATTRACTION-CREATING topics. 6 Traits the Best Topics Contain: 1. They build rapport 2. They get her emotional 3. They make you three-dimensional 4. They create hooks to keep the conversation going 5. They help you display your attractive traits 6. They allow you to inject sexuality Based on these 6 traits, Bobby discovered 12 almost MAGICAL topics that make your conversations "POP" with attraction. Here's a FREE conversation training report that reveals these 12 attraction-creating topics: http://textagirlnow.com/12-conversation-topics-free-report-best-topics-for-conversation-with-a-girl-y-i/

Here is the video where I talk about how to go from a Nice and Friendly to Sexually Arousing Conversation: https://youtu.be/W1uucwvSpw0 Many guys ask me this question so here is my answer. Todd did a video on this and I thought it was good but this is my perspective. I don't think that anyone should think that a single topic is going to get them laid, especially sex. I think this is an incorrect belief a lot of guys have. If you have any questions put them in the comment section below. Or shoot me an email if you want a full answer. If you are interested in my weekly 1 on 1 mentorship program email me your age, the city you live in, and what your occupation is. We will do a consultation and see if you are a good fit. Five English teachers come together to show you how to discuss a topic in a group. You'll learn how to give your opinion, interrupt, contradict, and more. We'll teach you how to use expressions like "in a nutshell", "please let me finish", and "don't get me wrong". You can use these expressions confidently in personal, social, and professional situations. Make sure to test your understanding of the lesson at https://www.engvid.com/how-to-discuss-a-topic-in-a-group/ To improve your English, subscribe to each of the teachers who appear in this lesson: Ronnie - http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=EnglishLessons4U James - http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=JamesESL Alex - http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=AlexESLvid Adam - http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=EnglishTeacherAdam Rebecca - http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=RebeccaESL TRANSCRIPT: Hi! My name is Rebecca, and in today's lesson you'll learn how to participate effectively in a discussion in English, something you may need to do in your personal, professional, or academic life, okay? Now, the topic we'll use as our sample is this one: Is it better to study online or in a regular classroom? Okay? You'll have a chance to hear a discussion by native English speakers on this topic. What I'd like you to do is listen for any special expressions and phrases that they use during the discussion. Afterwards, I'll review the expressions and phrases with you, okay? Now, today I have some special friends who have agreed to help me with this lesson, and they're waiting in the classroom next door, so let's go and say hello to them. -- Hello! -- Hello! -- Hi! -- Hi! -- Well, look who's here. It's -- -- Ronnie. -- Alex. -- James. -- Adam. -- Thank you for joining me, and thanks for helping with this lesson, guys. -- No problem. -- No problem. -- So you know we're talking about discussions, and the topic is: Is it better to study online or in a regular classroom? Okay, who wants to go first? -- Okay, so I'll start, and I think that it's actually very good to study online because it's very convenient because you can study whenever you want and at your own pace. For example, someone like me, I like to study at nighttime. So for me, online works better because it's quiet at night, no one disturbs me, and I can do what I need to do. -- Okay, that's true, but if you're going to study online -- -- Sorry, but -- -- Please let me finish. Let me finish. As I was saying, that's true, but if you're studying online you do need to motivate yourself, so I think it's better to be in a classroom where you have other students and a teacher who can motivate you. -- That's true, but some people can't afford to go to a classroom and don't have enough money or resources to actually go to a big school. So studying online, you can actually do it for free. -- Me? Well, I would like to add -- May I say something? -- Sure. -- Soft skills. That's not usually talked about in schools, but when we talk about "soft skills", it's actual interaction, utilizing your English when you're with other people, and that's hard to get online because you're watching a screen and not actually interacting with other people. -- You make a very good point but I would also like to add that sometimes having classmates takes you away from your focus because you have to maybe review things many times for other people to catch up, or you have to do topics that are interesting to other people, not to yourself. So it's a little distracting sometimes, too. -- However, focus is a good thing. I mean, it's not a bad thing to repeat something because sometimes people don't catch the material the first time. So that way, you go over the material, and they -- you know, you get depth. So you get to learn more, and people who don't understand get the opportunity to ask questions and learn from it again. -- Yeah, but sometimes the resources that you get in a classroom are boring, and online you can just look up whatever you need on the Internet, and you've got it right there. You don't have to rely on a textbook. Sometimes it can be a bad textbook.

16 Fun Topics to Talk About on a First Date (And What to Definitely Avoid) https://youtu.be/JUqVTAKQORs ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- That first date is finally here!
