And welcome to our demonstration of Shaolin Kicking Techniques. To begin with, we're going to start with the side kick. This is a very basic kick. Ready? He's going to bring his hands up. We're going to do it nice and slow first. Bring your hands up, and he's going to step in with the rear foot. As he brings the rear foot in, he's going to lift the front foot and strike with the bottom or the heel of his foot. Okay? Let's try it full speed. Okay? Let's go to the next kick now. The roundhouse kick. Many styles use this kick. It's very important that as you do it in this scenario that you snap the kick back. Let's take a look at that in full speed, the roundhouse kick. Hi. I'm Carl Romaine. Welcome to our demonstration of Shaolin Kicking Techniques. We'll start from the very basic kicks all the way to a little bit more advanced. To begin with, we'll start with the side kick. From this ready position, he's going to step in with the rear foot, lift the front knee, and extend his leg out, striking with the bottom of his foot. A little faster. This is a very effective kick for self defense. This kick can be placed at the knee, as well as the hip, or even the head. The next kick we're going to demonstrate is the roundhouse kick. It's a very common kick. You see it in a lot of different styles. As he steps in, he's going to lift his knee, point his toe this time, and extend the leg towards the head. One more time, slowly. Step in, lift the knee and point the toe, extend and strike the head, making sure that he recoils after the kick. Now full speed. Our next kick will be the hook kick. In this kick, he's going to extend his leg out, just like he did in the side kick, and then hook or loop the kick towards his back. And slowly kick. And again. And now full speed. Our next kick will be the variation of that. It will be this spinning hook kick. It's a little bit more advanced. And in this scenario he's going to actually take a step as he goes into his spin and then execute a hook kick right from there. It's a very powerful kick. And one more time. The next kick he'll demonstrate is a crescent kick. This kick will come up towards the center and then out. Now striking with the bottom outside portion of his foot. Notice that the leg is straight. One more time. And the last kick we'll demonstrate is a very effective kick. It can be used either to strike the leg and break the knee, or even used to stop a kick. It's called in Cantonese. So he's going to do a cross-over knee kick, striking with the heel. One more time. Good. And full speed. This concludes our demonstration of Shaolin Kicking Techniques.

Kick-Ass Modern Army Combatives Training
Combatives is a term for hand-to-hand combat training and techniques. In 2001, Matt Larsen, then a Sergeant First Class, established the United States Army Combatives School at Fort Benning. Students are taught techniques from the 2002 and 2009 versions of FM 3-25.150 (Combatives), also written by Larsen. The aim of the regimen is to teach soldiers how to train rather than attempting to give them the perfect techniques for any given situation. The main idea is that all real ability is developed after the initial training and only if training becomes routine. The initial techniques are simply a learning metaphor useful for teaching more important concepts, such as dominating an opponent with superior body position during ground grappling or how to control someone during clinch fighting. They are taught as small, easily repeatable drills, in which practitioners could learn multiple related techniques rapidly. For example, Drill One teaches several techniques: escaping blows, maintaining the mount, escaping the mount, maintaining the guard, passing the guard, assuming side control, maintaining side control, preventing and assuming the mount. The drill can be completed in less than a minute and can be done repeatedly with varying levels of resistance to maximize training benefits. New soldiers begin their Combatives training on day three of Initial Military Training, at the same time that they are first issued their rifle. The training begins with learning to maintain control of your weapon in a fight. Soldiers are then taught how to gain control of a potential enemy at the farthest possible range in order to maintain their tactical flexibility, what the tactical options are and how to implement them.

How to Use Kicks | MMA Fighting
Like these MMA lessons !!! Check out the official app http://apple.co/1DIxHwS Watch more MMA Fighting Techniques videos: http://www.howcast.com/videos/501838-How-to-Use-Kicks-MMA-Fighting Okay, uh, we're here with Chad again, we're gonna, we're gonna go through some basic kicks that you can use, uh, for MMA, okay. I like to show a lot of kicks off with the lead side, which keeps you safe as far as, uh, take downs and, and counters. So again, righty against righty, you have your first basic kick, which is the inside leg kick, okay. The outside leg kick sometimes gets you in trouble, especially against a wrestler, he's gonna grab that leg and then he's gonna shoo it in, and take you down. Inside leg kick leaves me a little safer cause I can always come back to my stance and I'm not as off balance. So again you have the inside leg kick, okay, so that's your first basic kick. Another good kick that people um, a lot of people that I don't think they use enough, are the push kicks, okay, or the teeps, okay, using, using the push kicks to keep your opponent away. I'm gonna aim for the body, okay, I could also aim for the hip, and obviously I can aim toward the head, okay, with the push kicks. Alright, push kicks to be body, push kicks to the hips, or push kicks to the face. And, another lead leg kick that you can work is the switch kick to the body. You can switch kick to the body and attack the arm, or if that arm is up, and the rib cage is exposed you can attack the rib cage. Making sure that my head is always safe, keeping my head away. Um, last basic kick, again off of the lead side, is attacking the back leg. A lot of people like to attack the front leg with the outside or the inside leg kick people will sometime neglect that back leg. So what you're going to do to attack the back leg you gonna shuffle out a little, take a little step, and drive your shin toward that back leg. Again, I shuffle out, hands stay up high, and I use my shin to attack the thigh. But I always come back to my stance, ready for a take-down or ready for a counter. So again, I'll flow through them, inside leg kick, push kick, switch kick to the body, or step out and attack the leg. Okay, so those are your basic kicks, attacking head, body, or leg.

Alright. Facing your partner, now a lot of times when you get to the actual part of using or having a partner, it's always good to have some kind of protective shin guards on and gloves and you know, if you're going to start punching each other in the head, maybe a little head gear. Alright. So, kicking techniques. Now, when we're fighting against the opponent, we're not just directing the kicks at the midsection, okay? We want to direct the kicks at the thighs, the inside of the thighs, Okay, at the head, alright. So, if I'm going to attack the thighs, I'm going to attack with my right leg. Now as I'm going to attack with my right leg, I'm going to take my left leg, I'm going step out to the left and as I step out the left, I'm going to bring the right leg around and attack the thighs, okay? When we speed it up, it almost seems like you have a hop in the middle, okay? So, hands up, I turn, kick, and then come back in the middle. When I actually go through the motions of the kick, I'm going to keep my right hand up, my left hand up, sorry, and extend my right hand out, keeping my eyes on the opponent, Okay? So from here, I take the step out, kick, and then come back in the middle. Now, I can go to the rear leg. When I'm going to attack the rear leg, I need to circle around, Okay, and then throw the kick to the rear leg. So, from here, I'm going to shuffle in with the left leg, hit the rear leg, and come back to my middle position again. So again, I'm going to circle around, out, hit, and then come back in the middle. When we hit the body, throw the kicks at the midsection. Again, we always want to rise up, and turn, throw the kick, come back down; left leg always, once you've got your balance, always try and throw the kick where you make the switch with a little bit of speed. You don't want to get in the habit of going too slow, because now the kick won't be there anymore. Alright? So we're going to make the switch quick, up, kick, and hen back down again, the inside of the leg. Now, with my hands up a good distance between me and my partner, I don't want to stretch to throw this kick out, because now this is going to leave me completely off balance and if he decides to step in with the right hand, Okay, I have no defense or no base to defend that right hand. So what I want to do now is I'm going to shuffle my feet in, come in right leg to the left leg, and then come in and then hit the inside of the leg. So I start with the hands up, I come in, one, two, and then come back out again. Right legs comes in with the left, Okay, left leg goes out, hits, left leg comes back, and then right leg comes back out. Now, we you speed it up, you're going to be here, in, back and then out again. Alright, one more time. In, back, and then out again, making sure keeping the hands up. Last point is to the head-mouth. When we throw the kicks up, it may help a little bit, as you throw the kick up, you want to look down as the leg is going up. That way, it makes it a little bit more flexible, makes it easier for your leg to come up. Alright, so from this position here, I'm going to come up to the head and then back down again. One more time, from here up looking down, to the head, and then back down again. Left side, same thing, make the switch quick; up and then come back down to the middle again. Okay, so that's just some of the attacking round-house kicks in Muay Thai.

I'm going to demonstrate, and I'm going to first explain to you as easy as possible. I'm going to stay in a fighting stance. First, a volley kick is like a back turn, but this time with an angle, so like this. One. I'm going to throw my back leg up in the air, two. One more time. One, two. It's almost like a roundhouse kick, but you have to kick and try to land with the same leg, something like that. One more time. One, two, three, and these are the drills that you guys can go in the beginning. I like to now to a step four. I like to do my volley kick with my left leg, so I'm going to bring my left leg behind. I'm going to step forward for the momentum, one, one more time. Don't turn your shoulders, make sure. One, turn, bring the leg up, and throw that kick like this. Now it's a little harder if you go slowly. It's actually a lot more easier if you go fast. I'm going to actually demonstrate it now with my partner over here. He's going to be holding the target. Again, beginners, you don't have to go this high, okay? You can hold it like here. This is the best distance for me. I like to stand up, again, left leg back fighting stance, because I'm going to be kicking with my left leg because I'm going to be stepping forward. Now I'm going to step forward and do the volley kick. I'm going to demonstrate, and have a good landing. One more time. I'm in my fighting stance, step forward, and that's how you do a volley kick.

Best Fight Scenes: Capoeira
This Brazilian martial art was developed as a method for West African slaves to practice and hide their indigenous combat from their colonial masters by disguising it as a form of dance. Using a variety of fast, unpredictable, acrobatic kicks, Capoeira emphasizes constant motion mainly through “ginga”, a lateral bobbing movement. Rather than being solely a type of self-defense, Capoeira as a game allows practitioners, or capoeristas, to engage in a sort of “dance-off” where they must individually perform and synchronize their moves with one another without hitting their opponent. This involves a circle of capoeristas called a “roda” who either clap and chant or play a musical instrument called a “berimbau” to maintain the flow and rhythm of the performance. Capoeira is now taught all over the globe and has been featured frequently in pop culture. Notable capoerista actors include Lateef Crowder, Mark Dacascos, and Wesley Snipes. I’m no expert on Capoeira but a fan of awesome fight choreography so I decided to delve a bit deeper and research some films/television series featuring Capoeira. So here’s a compilation of some Capoeira fight scenes. There are two types of kicking techniques in capoeira - the straight kick and the spinning kick. 1. Top 5 USELESS Martial Arts & Fighting Styles
Check Out Part 2: https://youtu.be/M7h1V5sFvAA Are you interested in learning a new martial arts in order to defend yourselves from them bullies? Well I suggest never trying any of these fighting styles unless you want to make your enemies laugh at you, while they are kicking your butt. There are always people out there that come up with new ideas, like fighting styles, religions, or lifestyles in order to make money from their clients, but I believe that some of these people that will be shown in this video seem to really believe that they actually have a legitimate way to defend themselves and fight. But these techniques are just dangerous, because the student doesn’t learn anything that will actually help them, it just creates a false sense of bravado that will lead to them picking a fight and getting hurt. I actually learned Tae Kwon Do and it turned out to be useless because the one I learned did not allow punches to the face, which is useless in a real fight, since that is the first thing you are going to see from your opponent and the first things you are going to try to do.
