We will be using Countries table in this example. SQL to create the table Create Table Countries ( Country nvarchar(50), City nvarchar(50) ) GO Insert into Countries values ('USA','New York') Insert into Countries values ('USA','Houston') Insert into Countries values ('USA','Dallas') Insert into Countries values ('India','Hyderabad') Insert into Countries values ('India','Bangalore') Insert into Countries values ('India','New Delhi') Insert into Countries values ('UK','London') Insert into Countries values ('UK','Birmingham') Insert into Countries values ('UK','Manchester') Here is the interview question. Write a sql query to transpose rows to columns. Using PIVOT operator we can very easily transform rows to columns. Oracle Forms to APEX Modernization

01:15:34
Held on September 20 2018 Watch Joel Kallman, Senior Director of Software Development, along with a number of experts from the global APEX Community, to discuss Oracle Forms Modernization. Learn about the positive aspects, together with the challenges, of using Oracle APEX to modernize your Oracle Forms applications. Real-world success stories, challenges, and tips are presented. Session Chats: https://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=20051:4:1757390683715::NO::P4_ASKTOM_OFFICE_HOUR_ID:157276294837434079139335725983223048710 Key Video Timestamps: Panel Introduction [9:15] Question 1 [11:55] - Can you please give a brief overview of one of your completed projects (or something which is underway)? Question 2 [20:50] - What would you say is your approach in modernization with APEX? Rewrite? Partial migration? Create new apps adjacent to the existing Oracle Forms apps? Question 3 [29:40] - What were some of the biggest challenges you faced in this type of project? Question 4 [36:15] - What was the biggest benefit to the customer? Has the customer been satisfied with the result? Question 5 [41:50] - We always talk about preserving your investment in the back-end business logic, in SQL and PL/SQL. Is this a fallacy? How much of the back-end code had to be modified to work in the new world with APEX? Question 6 [46:30] - Can you describe the process you follow to assess if something is appropriate to be modernized with APEX? Can you give an example of something you would not use APEX to modernize a Forms app? Question 7 [50:55] - How do you go about educating someone to use APEX, who comes from a Forms background? It is Web, and Web is different. Question 8 [1:01:45] - How long does it take for the existing Forms developers to become competent in APEX and Web development? Were they able to carry on with further development on their own? Question 9 [1:04:35] - Can customers do this migration on their own? This Office Hours forum is comprised of our many partners, and if I were watching this, I might think “wow, I need outside help to get this done”. What would you say? Question 10 [1:08:40] - For anyone watching this, who is contemplating modernizing some fo their Forms apps with APEX, do you have any specific advice? AskTOM Office Hours offers free, monthly training and tips on how to make the most of Oracle Database, from Oracle product managers, developers and evangelists. https://asktom.oracle.com/ Oracle Developers portal: https://developer.oracle.com/ Sign up for an Oracle Cloud trial: https://cloud.oracle.com/en_US/tryit music: bensound.com

Analytical Functions in oracle explained with real examples

25:24
This video explains analytical functions and how they are implemented in real projects. Analytical functions are somewhat similar to aggregate functions, but they offer much more. Why use analytical function ? They allow you to write fast and concise queries which otherwise will involve self join and long processing times They allow you to perform aggregate functions independently on sets of partitions. You can access values from previous rows in current row and you can restrict the window on which you want to apply this analytical function. I have given additional practice exercises along with the dataset so that you can comfortably work with analytical functions. You can find the sample problems along with dataset in the below link. http://www.internshipsfromhome.com/oracle-analytical-functions-ddl-and-dml/

Importing Data from Excel into Oracle Database using SQL Developer 4.1

02:23
One of SQL Developer’s most popular features has undergone a significant upgrade. Users can quickly define and recall delimited or Excel files to be imported to a new or existing Oracle table. Data preview and validation is provided for each column, as well as ‘best guess’ data type and date format mask mapping. This process can now be automated via the SQL Developer command line interface (SDCLI) ‘Import’ command. NOTE: This is a video only. There is no audio. Copyright © 2015 Oracle and/or its affiliates. Why Implement Oracle's OFMA with HFM?

42:07
Contact us today at [email protected] for more information on how you can implement OFMA with HFM. Long gone are the days when closing the books was simply consolidating the financials and generating management and statutory reporting. Now the entire organization is asking for access to this information via visual interactive dashboards, on mobile devices, integrated with other data sources and with the ability to create their own ad-hoc reports. There is not enough time in the day to satisfy all these requests. Fortunately, Oracle's® Financial Management Analytics™ (OFMA), when implemented with Hyperion Financial Management™ (HFM), addresses these issues and provides the platform to deliver business critical information to the CFO suite and the entire enterprise. This ClearLine eLearning event, "Why Implement Oracle's OFMA with HFM?" features how your organization can make it easier for business users to access corporate data to meet their needs. Learn how OFMA: - Provides unified Insights into financial results and close process status - Leverages investments in Hyperion financial close applications via direct native access - Deploys quickly with pre-built and configurable packaged analytics and out of the box integration - Enables mobile delivery to finance executives and business users - Provides integration of multiple data sources easily navigated by users - Delivers the following pre-built dashboards: Executive, Process Management, Performance Indicators, Profit and Loss, Gross Profit, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Currency Analysis, Financial Close Schedule Summary - Allows for alerting based on your organizations business rules Plus, our speakers, David Abatangelo and Dave Dzuranin, demonstrate OFMA so your organization can see the benefits.

Ebay Xentec HID Ballasts & Bulbs - How Long Do They Last? - EP #9

02:55
Original Review: https://youtu.be/VbbrAA0ZcR8 I got these off eBay (yeah yeah, I know!) quite a few years ago for $35 per set. In this video I talk through how long the ballasts and bulbs have lasted. This is not a review on their quality or performance so much as their longevity. Since one of the bulbs burned out on me today, I have to decide whether to use the old ballast set with a new bulb...or buy a new ballast/bulb set. If you guys suggest a good set, I'll probably buy it and compare it to my old Xentec setup!

Before You Buy A M4 or AR-15 Know Your Facts

10:37
How long have I been around this platform? This will help: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQRlQOJ3e9g Many companies selling M4 and AR variants today try to sell a carbine or rifle that may be suitable for plinking cans, shooting gophers etc. but will not hold up to the standards required for hard use and long life with a high round count. Few companies meet the criteria lined out in the TDP of which Colt and FN abide. Bravo Company is one of the very few companies producing carbines and rifles that meet this standard. Others are Daniel Defense, LMT, Noveske. PART II OF THIS VIDEO IS HERE: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_q47EG... Companies that have been proven to not meet this standard of critical criteria are DPMS, Rock River, Bushmaster and Olympic Arms. Now before you freak out, they do work for what most people use them for. The fact is, they do not have many if not any of the criteria outlined here. Using the analytics feature, it has become quite apparent that this video has found itself emailed among many individuals at both DPMS, STAG and other brands I forego recommending here. It is also apparent that many internet trolls from either these companies or friends of, have taken it upon themselves to write vitriolic, emotional and zealous comments that border on insane ramblings, defending these brands and accusing me of being ignorant of the M4 platform. These comments will no longer be posted, so do not even waste your time. I suggest you spend the time improving your product line. What I had to address with some individuals: Bushmaster has refused to release any information or certifications regarding materials, specs, etc. Bushmaster does not hold the TDP or design schematics for the M4, but reverse engineers after measuring Colt parts. Every Bushmaster I have handled, owned, seen, or sold, has lacked a STAKED castle nut. Bushmaster does NOT have an "F" marked FSB, or an H buffer. Your barrel is 1/9 NOT 1/7. All MPI and HP of Bushmaster is BATCH tested. etc. Barrels that have been tested by individuals, has shown they are NOT 11595E. They do NOT parkerize under the FSB. Buffer tubes on Bushmaster are COMMERCIAL aka weaker, thinner, cheaper. Sell your Bushmaster for $900 and go buy a Colt. They are shit and the list goes on. Same goes for Rock River, Olympic, and many others. Do the research. Educate yourself. Some of the TDP: Auto BCG, 8620 BC, Shrouded Firing Pin, Parkerized Exterior, Chrome lined, USGI specs, Mil-spec gas key hardened/heat treated and chrome lined, secure gas key with "grade 8" fasteners properly staked, Carpenter #158 Bolt, tool steel extractor with black insert, Shot peened, MPI(100%), HPT (100%), 4-coil or 5 coil spring, 11595E Certified Barrel Steel, 5.56 Chamber NOT .223, 1/7 twist Barrel, M4 Feed Ramps, "F" Stamped FSB, Taper Pins, 7000 series lower receiver, Mil-spec diameter buffer tube, properly staked castle nut, Properly marked and weighted buffer, "H" "H2" etc. Also included is properly gassed systems with proper gas port size tube diameter and length. There are other facets not mentioned here however these are the biggies. US GAAP vs. IFRS on the Financial Statements

21:58
You'll learn the key differences between US GAAP and IFRS on the 3 main financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement). By http://breakingintowallstreet.com/ "Financial Modeling Training And Career Resources For Aspiring Investment Bankers" You'll also learn how to adjust an international company's financial statements to make it easier to model and project over time. Table of Contents: 1:46 Why US GAAP vs. IFRS Matters 5:28 Income Statement Terminology Differences 7:34 Balance Sheet Differences 14:09 How to Adjust the Financial Statements for an IFRS Company 20:02 Recap and Summary Income Statement: The Income Statement is very similar regardless of the accounting system. Some items have different names (e.g., Revenue is often called Turnover and Net Income is often called Profit), but that's about it. Balance Sheet: There are more differences on the Balance Sheet - items are often arranged in a different order (sometimes Long-Term Assets are listed first, then Current Assets, then Equity, then Long-Term Liabilities and Current Liabilities at the end). The Balance Sheet itself is usually called the "Statement of Financial Position." Also, items within the Equity section often have different names: Common Stock is called "Share Capital" or "Issued Capital." Additional Paid-In Capital is often called the "Share Premium." Retained Earnings and Treasury Stock tend to have similar names. IFRS-based companies also have many "Reserve" categories for items such as FX translation differences and unrealized gains and losses. For US-based companies, these items show up within Accumulated Other Comprehensive Income (AOIC) rather than being split out into separate "Reserve" categories. But the FUNCTIONALITY of the Balance Sheet is still very similar (items still flow in and change the same way), even if items have different names or are grouped differently. Cash Flow Statement There are more differences on the Cash Flow Statement, because most US-based companies use the INDIRECT method and most international companies use the DIRECT method. The Indirect Method starts with Net Income, makes non-cash adjustments, and lists the changes in Working Capital in the Cash Flow from Operations section. The Direct Method simply lists the cash received from customers and cash paid to suppliers and employees, along with income taxes and interest and other expenses, and so you don't see the full details behind the non-cash adjustments and working capital spending. When this happens, it is much, much harder to link the financial statements because changes in items such as Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable won't flow into anything on the Cash Flow Statement. So we recommend ADJUSTING the financial statements as follows: First, find a reconciliation between this Cash Flow Statement and the company's operating income and/or net income. Then, make the Cash Flow Statement start with Net Income instead, as it normally does, and include all the line items from this reconciliation (non-cash adjustments, Working Capital changes, etc.). And if there are still remaining differences between items such as income taxes and interest expense on the Income Statement vs. Cash Flow Statement, make adjusting entries on the CFS that indicate the true cash amount that a company paid for those. PDF Is Dead; Long Live PDF...and Java!

01:58:58
It’s strange but true: six years after the PDF reference was published as an ISO standard (ISO-32000-1), there are still developers who think that the Portable Document Format is a closed document format owned by Adobe. PDF is often perceived as a strange, impenetrable document format. It’s high time we bury that idea and take a look at what’s going on in the world of PDF today. Different ISO committees are currently working on new standards such as PDF 2.0 (to be released in 2015), XFDF, and ECMAScript for PDF. Substandards such as PDF/X, PDF/A, PDF/E, PDF/VT, and PDF/UA are updated on a regular basis. This tutorial uses Java to unlock some PDF mysteries and to guide developers through the standards via simple code samples. Excel to SQL

12:12
Excel to SQL http://www.sql-excel.com One of the things that I see IT software development people struggle with is SQL to Excel integration. SQL to Excel integration unfortunately has been made unnecessarily cumbersome because of the rather primitive awkward way Microsoft has chosen to implement SQL to Excel communication. That's why I created a way to solve SQL to Excel integration once and for all. It doesn't have to be hard. It doesn't have to take a long time to develop software/spreadsheets which integrates SQL to Excel. And in fact, Excel is the PERFECT platform for integrating SQL to Excel database access. Excel is PERFECT for rapid application development (RAD). The right out-of-the-box though, SQL to Excel integration is painful in Excel. Not only that, but the way SQL to Excel was implemented, it created tremendous opportunity for the data to be structured wrong, or at minimum, misinterpreted. Let me give you one specific example. I called this example "data drift." What do I mean by "data drift?" It's when you have a SQL table and it's imported into Excel. The data into Excel spreadsheet is static, imported only one time during an Excel session. However, the data in the SQL table continues to be updated by different user departments in the company. In essence, the SQL to Excel "data drifts" more and from the corporate database on the server. This is where Microsoft's way of integrating SQL to Excel functionality falls far short. As you can imagine, this can cause tremendous problems with departments and users. And it's one of the main reasons, SQL to Excel integration projects are so frustrating. I though there had to be a better way of implementing SQL to Excel integration. My new SQL to Excel tool set I developed, solves that problem once and for all. Because now the data can be refreshed either through seamless and transparent SQL to Excel, or Excel to SQL integrations at key checkpoints and function points in the spreadsheet. The best part, is that SQL to Excel integration is ALL transparent to the user. While there is updating going on in the background/behind the scenes, the user is unaware of the SQL to Excel communication going on. Once my way of SQL to Excel has been implemented, the problem of data drift literally disappears. Because it looks like to the user they are really doing SQL to Excel importing and later updating the SQL database IN REAL-TIME. SQL to Excel, or Excel to SQL doesn't have to be hard to develop either. In fact with my tools, if you're a software developer, I've made SQL to Excel a snap. In less than a few minutes from now, you can be impressing your boss or the users with what you can do with Excel. You'll be able to make Excel do backflips, things you, as a software developer always wanted it to do. Using my SQL to Excel toolset, rapid application development (RAD) is a reality inside Excel. I urge you to check out my website at http://www.sql-excel.com. Once you do, you'll never go back to the slow, error prone, painful way of implementing SQL to Excel integrations in the future. SQL to Excel integrations from here forward will actually be fun and make your users extremely happy and confident in the data.
