Cosmetics labelling requirements EU (Regulation 1223/2009)

10:33
http://www.ceway.eu This clip presents which information about the product needs to appear on a cosmetic product label in the EU, in order for it to be compliant with the regulation 1223/2009. Labelling is a very important part of the product both in terms of sales as well as in terms of being compliant with the relevant legislation. EU regulation 1223/2009 some poses specific requirements for the labelling of cosmetic products placed on the EU market. The following information has to appear on the labels: name and address of the responsible person, product's country of origin (if the manufacturer is from outside of the EU), nominal quantity or content, expiration date, particular precautions for use, batch number, function of the cosmetic product, list of ingredients. Ingredients have to be written in a descending order by concentration and according to their INCI names. What is also worth remembering is that certain things on the label (nominal content, expiration date if wording "best used before the end of" is used, particular precautions for use, function of the cosmetic product) have to be translated into the official languages of the countries where the product is going to be sold. Certain countries, like Belgium, request even more than one language on the label. Cosmetic manufacturers also write various claims for their products on the labels. They have to make sure that the claims made are in line with the definition of the cosmetic products in the EU, and that any claim made is also substantiated.

RoHS2 enforcement actions and product withdrawals across Europe

41:28
This free webinar held 12 May 2016 explains how enforcement actions and product withdrawals across Europe have increased significantly under the EU RoHS2 Directive 2011/65/EU on the Restriction of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment. With leading international experts located in the UK, BOMcheck has unique access to information on enforcement and product withdrawals across Europe not only for RoHS2 but also for the EU Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) Regulation and the EU REACH Regulation. The webinar highlights that: • Enforcement actions by the UK RoHS2 regulator increased 350% in 2014, from 284 actions in 2013 to 991 actions in 2014 • Product withdrawals for RoHS2 non-compliance started in Slovenia in 2015. Product withdrawals under the POPs restriction of SCCP in articles also started in Sweden, Austria and Norway in 2015. Product withdrawals under the REACH restrictions (examples include asbestos in articles) continued in 2015. • 40% of higher priced toys inspected in the UK in 2014 were non-compliant to RoHS2 and/or Batteries restrictions The webinar explains how you can use the EN 50581 standard to manage compliance across your supply chains. The EN 50581 standard is endorsed by the European Commission as an approved method for managing compliance with EU RoHS2. Regulatory authorities expect companies to adopt the EN 50581 standard or provide evidence that their compliance management system provides equivalent quality levels. The webinar also explains how the standardised, high quality declarations that suppliers create in BOMcheck comply with EN 50581. BOMcheck provides free monthly training webinars to explain new regulatory requirements and how suppliers can use BOMcheck to reduce the cost of their REACH compliance efforts by 66%.

Journey to safer chemicals - REACH registration

01:45
For 10 years, chemical companies have assessed the risks of their chemicals used in Europe and sent that information to the European Chemicals Agency according to the criteria set out in the REACH Regulation. Today, we know more than ever before about the chemicals on the EU/EEA market, their properties and impacts. Companies are able to advise their customers on how to use them safely. ECHA together with the national authorities and the European Commission will use the knowledge to design EU wide measures to protect our citizens and the environment from any harmful effects. The New Medical Device Regulation (MDR) - Webinar

01:12:45
On 26 September 2012, the European Commission adopted a proposal for a regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on medical devices and in vitro diagnostic (IVD) medical devices. These regulations, once adopted, will replace the existing three medical devices directives (MDD, AIMD, IVD). The MDD and AIMD will be incorporated into one single regulation, the MDR. For current IVD directive, the new regulation will be the IVDR. The new Medical Device Regulation affected all kinds of medical devices, from home-use items like sticking plasters and contact lenses, to X-ray machines, pacemakers, breast implants and hip replacements. The new rules aim to ensure that patients, consumers and healthcare professionals can reap the benefits of safe, effective and innovative medical devices. Ensuring compliance to the new regulations is critically important for legal manufacturers in order to CE mark their devices in Europe. Manufacturers however will also benefit from clearer rules, easier trading between EU countries and a level playing field that excludes those who do not comply with the legislation. The new rules support patient-oriented innovation and take particular account of the specific needs of the many small and medium-sized manufacturers in this sector.

How to Create an Amazon Seller Account as an International Seller (Pro Merchant Account)

10:25
Learn how to create an account on Amazon as an international seller. Step-by-step instructions to open a PRO Merchant account. Discover how to create a 10k/month dropshipping business on Amazon: http://wholesaleted.com/4-step In this video, I show you my updated step-by-step instructions on how to create an Amazon seller account as an international seller that doesn’t live in the USA or isn’t a citizen of the USA. Please note, in this video I don’t create a free individual seller account. That is because there are less steps as you don’t need to fill out any tax information. I wanted to create a pro merchant account as an international seller that you can see ALL of the steps. IMPORTANT LINKS DISCUSSED IN THIS VIDEO: Create an Amazon seller account: https://www.amazon.com/b?ie=UTF8&node=12766669011 The 136 countries Amazon accepts: https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=200417280 Currencies supported by Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=200497820 Get Payoneer: http://wholesaleted.com/go/payoneer QUESTION: How do I know if I’m eligible create an Amazon seller account as an international seller? In the “important links” section I have added a link to the list of the 136 countries that Amazon.com will accept registrations from. If you live in any of those countries then you can create an account on Amazon as an international seller. It includes all major countries including Canada, UK, Australia, India and China. QUESTION: Can I use a non-USA credit card when I create an Amazon seller account as an international seller? Yes! You can. Amazon.com accept credit cards from major credit card companies which include: * Visa * Mastercard * American Express * Discover * Diners Club * JCB Please note though - Amazon.com will only accept chargeable credit cards and debit cards. Prepaid ones will NOT be accepted. This includes Payoneer cards, which is an important update to my last video I created on this subject. QUESTION: Can I use my local phone number when I create an Amazon seller account as an international seller? Absolutely. You don’t need to get a USA number, you can use your own one. Amazon will ask if they should call or text you. I find that it is more reliable to get Amazon to call you rather than text so I suggest selecting that option. When Amazon call you it will be an automated message asking for you to give them a PIN number that they’ll show on screen. Just type this number into your keypad. QUESTION: Do I need a bank account in the USA to create an Amazon seller account as an international seller? No, you don’t! There was a time when Amazon required this which made it difficult for non-USA sellers to sell on the site. Not anymore. The issue however is that Amazon disbursements are only eligible in certain currencies. For example, Amazon are able to disburse funds in Rupees but they don’t support Shekels. I’ve included a link to this in the “important links” section. The work-around for this is to use a Payoneer account to accept the money in USD, and to then pay you direct into your bank account. This method is supported by Amazon. I’ve included a link to this in the “important links” section. QUESTION: Do I need a pro-merchant account when I create a Amazon seller account as an international seller? No, you don’t have to open a pro-merchant account. The only reason why I opened one in this video rather than a free individual seller account is because there is an additional step to create a pro account: Dealing with taxes. Creating a free individual seller account is exactly the same except for this step, which is why I chose to create a pro account to show everyone how to do it. QUESTION: How do I fill out the 1099-K (W-9 form) tax form as a non-USA citizen when creating a pro merchant account? The answer is that you don’t. Because you don’t live in the USA and aren’t a USA citizen you will not be paying income tax to the IRS. You will instead be paying income tax to your local government. As such, you are eligible to waive this form. American residents need to fill this form out as at a certain threshold of sales, Amazon start to hold back a portion of their money on behalf of the IRS. Instead, you will need to sign the W-8BEN form (as a non-USA tax payer) to waive this. I show you how to do it in the video. It is very easy. You don’t need to send any documents in, as Amazon.com will accept an electronic signature. Thanks for watching. If you’ve got any questions about how to create an account on Amazon as an international seller, leave them in the comments section below and I’ll answer as many as I can!

How To Get CE Marking Certification For My Product?

05:11
How to achieve CE mark approval, CE testing and meet all CE mark requirements, for my product? There are a series of steps outlined below for CE mark approval. Depending on your product and the nature of the risks it presents: Number 1. Determine if any directives apply to your product. If more than one applies you will have to comply with all of them. Number 2. Determine the extent to which your product complies with the essential requirements for design and manufacturing in the applicable directive(s). Number 3. Choose the conformity assessment procedure from the options (modules) called out by the directive for your product. There are several modules available for the Conformity Assessment Procedures as listed below: Module A: internal production control Module Aa: intervention of a Notified Body Module B: EC type-examination Module C: conformity to type Module D: production quality assurance Module E: product quality assurance Module F: product verification Module G: unit verification Module H: full quality assurance The directives often use a series of questions about the nature of your product to classify the level of risk and refer to a chart called "Conformity Assessment Procedures". The chart includes all of the acceptable options available to a manufacturer to certify their product and affix the CE Marking. A Notified Body is usually able to offer some of the services required: Number 1. Product testing Number 2. Type examination certificate issue Number 3. Technical File and design dossier evaluation Number 4. Surveillance of product and quality system Number 5. Identification of standards If your products need to be certified by a Notified Body, then you will need to do as the follows: Number 1. Select the applicable product standards and test methods for your product and select a Notified Body. Number 2. Establish an Authorized Representative in the European Union for your product. Some directives require that a manufacturer designates in the European Union an authorized representative to produce Technical File in a timely fashion when called upon to do so. The CE Marking itself is not meant to provide details about the product to Surveillance Authorities. Technical File: The directives require for many products that a Technical File be prepared by the manufacturer. The Technical File holds information that verifies that the testing was conducted properly and that the product complies with applicable standards. Number 3. Prepare a Declaration of Conformity. The Declaration of Conformity must contain information adequate for tracing the product back to the manufacturer or the authorized representative in the European Union. It may include a list the directives and standards that your product conforms to, product identification, the manufacturer's name, address, and signature. Number 4. Register your product in EU Many products, for instance, Class I Medical Devices, are required to be registered in the EU and, if proved, get a Certificate of Registration. Without this Certificate of Registration, the products are NOT allowed to be affixed with the CE Marking and be placed on the market. Number 5. Affix the CE Marking to your product. There are specific rules to adhere to for the CE Marking. These rules address the size and location of the Marking; affixing the CE Marking to products, packaging and material or documents shipped with the product; and specific limitations on when and who is permitted to affix the CE Marking Thanks For Watching EU-CERT has Certified thousands of products to support CE Marking certification Declarations of Conformity DoC for equipment safety, electromagnetic compatibility, and energy efficiency. Patent Registration

04:46
Click Here To Subscribe : https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVPe5PBrffMWd_HD-lsKuQg?sub_confirmation=1 The Patent system in India is governed by the Patents Act, 1970 & The Patents Rules 1972. A patent is a grant by the India patent office that allows the patent owner to maintain a monopoly for a limited period of time on the use and development of an invention. For more details visit - https://www.legalraasta.com/patent-registration/ This video tells, 00:00- 01:05 Patent is an exclusive right granted to an inventor for a period of time , so that he can protect his invention from any misconduct or misuse by any other individual. Who all can apply for a patent? An Application for a Patent for an invention may be made by any of the following persons either alone or jointly with any other person: # True and first inventor # True and first inventor’s assignee # Legal representative of deceased true and first inventor or his/her assignee 01:10-01:26 What all are patent-able? 1) It should be new, so that nobody else has made the same thing or even similar in the past. 2) It must involve an inventive step, which means it is not something that anyone could have had made easily. 3) It requires to be useful to do something that is must have an application in real world. 01:31-02:39 Types of patent: There are various types of patents, out of which provisional and permanent patent are the most commonly obtained patent. They can be further explained as: • Provisional Patent : A provisional application is a temporary application which is filed when the invention is not finalized and is still under experimentation. There are various advantages of the same: o Applicant gets 12 months’ time to fully develop the invention and to know if it has any market potential. o Helps to have “priority” right over the invention o Also, the applicant can then use the term "patent pending” on their product o Less expensive to prepare and file the application o Lets the applicant to file International applications and claim priority within 12 months. • Permanent patent : 02:44-03:21 Documents required 1) Name, Address and Nationality of applicant(s) 2) Name, Address and Nationality of inventor(s) 3) Provisional Specification ( in case of provisional patent ) ,and complete specification (in case of permanent patent) 4) Description, Claims, Abstract & Drawings, if any 5) Details of all corresponding foreign applications, including application number, date of filing and current status. 03:26-03:51 Procedure : Obtaining a patent certificate is slightly complex procedure. Step 1 : Collect all the information about your invention such as: # Area of invention # Description of the invention that is what it does # How does it work # Advantages of the invention And write it all down at a place. Step 2 : The drawings and diagrams should be designed so as to explain the working of the invention in better way with visual illustrations. Step 3: All inventions may not be patent able therefore , check whether yours is patent able or not . Step 4: The next step would be finding out whether your invention meets all patentability criteria as per Indian patent act or not ? Step 5: The patent-ability report and opinion helps you decide whether to go ahead with the patent or not Step 6 : once you decide to go ahead with your patent , then you need to draft an application stating the specifications and claims of your patent. Step 7: Up on filing the specification along with application for patent, the application is published after 18 months of first filing. Step 8: The patent application is examined only after receiving request for examination. Step 9: Majority of patent applicants will receive some type of objections based on examination report. Step 10 : This communication between controller and patent applicant is to ensure that all objections raised in the patent application are resolved. (if not the patent will not be granted) and otherwise a patent is then granted. 03:56-04:45 How to get your patent registered through legalraasta? You can either apply for it yourself or take help from legalraasta. Stop #10 of Volcom's WITP Europe 2015 | Trondheim, Norway

04:00
Wild in The Parks has become more or less a tradition in Trondheim. At 10:00 we started the registration and everybody was super hyped. We had people from Oslo, Stavanger, Kristiansand, Malmö and Larvik Joining the contest. Slayer playing on the sound system and the wibe at the park was really good. A lot of spectators were also at the park ready to see what the contestants were good for. We had 3 amazing zones ready for the 80 contestants At 12:00 we kicked of the 14& under division. The level of skateboarding in this division was truly insane! It is so much fun to see the kids rip the park to pieces. Petter Brunvatne and Jonas Carlsson destroyed every obstacle in their way. After the 14 & Under division we kicked off the 15-21 division. This was the biggest divison this year, which is fun since the 14 & under division has always been the division with most contestants. Local hero Johannes Sundby was on fire and won the division. The best was saved for last, the Open divison. The crowd was on fire as well as the contestants. Mr Steffen Austerheim from Stavanger did some amazing tricks and won the divison. After the finals we did a little best trick on the a-frame, Gard Hvaara did a switch Bs Flip, the hard way over the rail. The prize ceremony kicked off and was followed by the product toss. Everyone had a great day, enjoing great skateboarding, free drink, free burgers and hotdogs. Big thanks to everyone who came down to participate and watch. Huge thanks to Kristian @ Trondheim Kommune, The judges, Photographers, the filmer, helpers, Electric, GoPro, Spitfire, Anti-Hero, Session, Vans and Coca Cola. See you all next year. Results: 14 & Under: 1. Jonas Carlsson 2. Petter Brunvatnet 3. Hermann Möller 4. Ask Filling 5. Elias Heitmann 15-21: 1. Johannes Sundby 2. Roar Kollnes 3. Kristoffer Dahl 4.Daniel Pedersen 5.Carl Fredrik Førli
