KFC Secret recipe accidentally revealed! Watch how to make it!

06:33
Get full secret recipe here http://www.recipe30.com On August 29 2016 Rumors hit the internet stating that Colonel Sanders' secret recipe was accidentally revealed. A sheet of paper with the hand written ingredients are supposedly Colonel Sanders' secret herbs and spices. Fact or fiction, I don't know but as Chef, I thought I'd do the taste test. See for yourself how to make what I feel is if not the original, the closest recipe ever. It's finger Lickin good. Excuse the chewing sounds, but when tasting complex flavours you need to open your mouth to let in the oxygen. My mother wouldn't be proud but my old Chef School science teacher would. Same with wine tasting, you need to slur and let in the oxygen. Try it and see for yoursel, but please not in public. :) Little tips This recipe seems a lot stronger in flavour than the real KFC (see video above). You can always add an additional cup of flour or two to the mix bringing it closer to the real deal. I personally prefer it stronger, as per this recipe. Seems more like the old fashion KFC recipe. Try it first on a few fried chicken pieces, if it's too strong, it's always easier to add the additional flour to the mix later. Also if you marinate your chicken with a little salt and butter milk overnight, you will get a juicier and more tender meat. Some suggest that MSG is added to the original recipe and that could be the missing ingredient, I'm not a fan of MSG, I prefer to go without, but it's another ingredient that may bring it closer to the original. MSG enhances flavours. Cooking it in a pressure cooker will also cook it faster giving you a less dark outer coating the way KFC does it, however I don't recommend it as hot oil under pressure is quite dangerous!!! KFC had special pressure cookers designed specifically for that purpose. That's why it's best to use smaller chickens, as large chickens will need to cook much longer making the outer crust too dark. Either way, home made fried chicken beats any takeout chicken! ENJOY! :) #kfcsecretrecipe Want to post me something? Need a shoutout? Got a product to be reviewed or used on my cooking videos? Given this, it’s perhaps not surprising that the spread of this idea has also been helped by various advertising campaigns done by Coca-Cola claiming just this. In fact, this idea actually started as a result of a Coca-Cola advertisement, but we’ll get to that in a bit. How To Protect Your Company's Trade Secrets & Intellectual Property -- FL Lawyer Steve Kramer

How To Protect Your Company's Trade Secrets & Intellectual Property -- Central FL Lawyer Steve Kramer http://www.mykramerlawfirm.com Listen as Florida attorney Steve Kramer lets you know how to protect your company's trade secrets and intellectual property. A trade secret can be a formula, recipe, process or design specifically for your company that no one else knows about and gives you an advantage over the rest of the market. A great example of a trade secret would be the recipe for Coca-Cola. It's a well-guarded secret known by very few people within the company. But that trade secret has to be protected or that company's advantage would be lost to other competitors out there. You can protect your trademark by doing things like having your staff or anyone who works with you independently sign documents about levels of secrecy or non-disclosure agreements. Or you may use non-compete agreements and feel these work better with your company. Either way, you need to protect what makes your company unique and successful. Let us show you how. What is TRADE SECRET? What does TRADE SECRET mean? TRADE SECRET meaning, definition & explanation

06:49
What is TRADE SECRET? What does TRADE SECRET mean? TRADE SECRET meaning - TRADE SECRET definition - TRADE SECRET explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. A trade secret is a formula, practice, process, design, instrument, pattern, commercial method, or compilation of information not generally known or reasonably ascertainable by others by which a business can obtain an economic advantage over competitors or customers. In some jurisdictions, such secrets are referred to as "confidential information" but are generally not referred to as "classified information" in the United States, since that refers to government secrets protected by a different set of laws and practices. The precise language by which a trade secret is defined varies by jurisdiction (as do the particular types of information that are subject to trade secret protection). However, there are three factors that, although subject to differing interpretations, are common to all such definitions: a trade secret is information that: 1. Is not generally known to the public; 2. Confers some sort of economic benefit on its holder (where this benefit must derive specifically from its not being publicly known, not just from the value of the information itself); 3. Is the subject of reasonable efforts to maintain its secrecy. These three aspects are also incorporated in the TRIPS Agreement in Article 39. By comparison, under U.S. law, "A trade secret, as defined under 18 U.S.C. § 1839(3) (A), (B) (1996), has three parts: (1) information; (2) reasonable measures taken to protect the information; and (3) which derives independent economic value from not being publicly known". Trade secrets are an important, but invisible component of a company's intellectual property (IP). Their contribution to a company's value, measured as its market capitalization, can be major. Being invisible, that contribution is hard to measure. Patents are a visible contribution, but delayed, and unsuitable for internal innovations. Having an internal scoreboard provides insight into the cost of risks of employees leaving to serve or start competing ventures. In contrast to registered intellectual property, trade secrets are, by definition, not disclosed to the world at large. Instead, owners of trade secrets seek to protect trade secret information from competitors by instituting special procedures for handling it, as well as technological and legal security measures. Legal protections include non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and work-for-hire and non-compete clauses. In other words, in exchange for an opportunity to be employed by the holder of secrets, an employee may sign agreements to not reveal their prospective employer's proprietary information, to surrender or assign to their employer ownership rights to intellectual work and work-products produced during the course (or as a condition) of employment, and to not work for a competitor for a given period of time (sometimes within a given geographic region). Violation of the agreement generally carries the possibility of heavy financial penalties which operate as a disincentive to reveal trade secrets. However, proving a breach of an NDA by a former stakeholder who is legally working for a competitor or prevailing in a lawsuit for breaching a non-compete clause can be very difficult. A holder of a trade secret may also require similar agreements from other parties he or she deals with, such as vendors, licensees, and board members. As a company can protect its confidential information through NDA, work-for-hire, and non-compete contracts with its stakeholders (within the constraints of employment law, including only restraint that is reasonable in geographic- and time-scope), these protective contractual measures effectively create a perpetual monopoly on secret information that does not expire as would a patent or copyright. The lack of formal protection associated with registered intellectual property rights, however, means that a third party not bound by a signed agreement is not prevented from independently duplicating and using the secret information once it is discovered, such as through reverse engineering.

Intellectual Property [PART 4]: Trade Secrets | A Minute Smarter - 023

02:10
Do you know what protects the intellectual property of companies like KFC and Coca Cola? Find out in this episode of A Minute Smarter. —————————— TRANSCRIPT: Intellectual property—part four: trade secrets. Coming up next on A Minute Smarter. The fourth type of intellectual property, in addition to patents, trademarks, and copyrights, is trade secrets. Trade secrets consist of information and can include a formula, pattern, compilation, program, device, method, technique or process. To meet the most common definition of a trade secret, it must be used in business, and give an opportunity to obtain an economic advantage over competitors who do not know or use it. The USPTO further states that trade secrets commonly share these three elements: A trade secret is information that has value by virtue of not being generally known. The information has value to others who cannot legitimately obtain the information. The information is subject to reasonable efforts to maintain its secrecy. Additionally, it is a business’ responsibility to identify and secure its own trade secrets. A well-known example of a trade secret is Colonel Sanders’ special blend of herbs and spices for his Kentucky Fried Chicken. The original handwritten recipe is kept in a safe in Kentucky, and only a few select employees know the recipe and are bound by a confidentiality agreement. Another example is soft drink giant, Coca-Cola. They chose to brand their recipe as a trade secret rather than patenting it. Why? Because under a patent the ingredients would eventually be disclosed. As a trade secret, it can be kept a secret forever. For more information on trade secrets, visit www.USPTO.gov. The Illusion of Coca-Cola 'Secret' Formula

05:04
Why brands are so protective of their signature formula or recipe. Is there really a thing like "secret formula" or it's just that you are being persuaded into believing that such a thing exists. What would happen if you steal the coca-cola secret formula? Watch this video to find out. This video is narrated by Clundor. Check-out his gaming channel here - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCq0zANl2rZi7MK8UjTadw_Q --------------------------------------------------------------------- Follow the channel on at least one of these to get updates about new uploads - Twitter - twitter.com/sidenoteYT Facebook - fb.com/sidenoteYT Instagram - instagram.com/sidenoteYT SUBSCRIBE FOR MORE Music - dbltree by Jalen Edington Link - https://soundcloud.com/jalenedington/dbltree time (if and when) by Todd Siesel Link - https://soundcloud.com/todd-siesel/time-if-and-when -------------------------------------------------------------------- Whether it be the McDonald's iconic sauce on big Mac, KFC's unique spices mixture or Coca-Cola's flagship sugar concentrate - the secret to the success of these products is believed to lie in their formula of ingredients. Because companies keep these formulas a guarded secret and no one from outside of the company can get hold of these recipes, these products, and their tastes can simply not be replicated by another brand, making them unique and thus, irreplaceable in the market. The reality is that the Coca-Cola secret formula isn't really a "secret", so spending millions of dollar to get this doesn't make sense. The exact formula is known to many people around the world and any talented chemist can recreate the formula to an extent that it's indistinguishable from the real one in a blind taste at a much lower cost. For decades, Coca-Cola has used this rumors about "secret" formula to enhance consumer perception of Coca-Cola‘s specialness. By insisting that the recipe is a trade secret coca-cola creates a mystique around the product that helps promote a certain image in the minds of customers. While what really "special" about coca-cola is its branding, the nostalgia behind its history, and its chain of distribution - which can't be copied. People may buy fake "Gucci" bags because the original ones may cost a liver and kidney but why would anyone buy a slightly cheaper coca-cola drink from a nameless brand when one can easily afford the real one? Not many people would buy something that tastes like a coca-cola drink in a Pepsi bottle either. Similarly, a newly founded "SideNote's BigMac" may have the same recipe as McDonald's but this doesn't give you the happy clown guy and the billions of dollars of marketing power.

Breaking Bad: Is Final Episode a Trade Secret?

01:23
Sept. 27 (Bloomberg Law) -- The lengths that TV show producers will go to in order to protect the secrecy of final episodes are legendary. Take "Breaking Bad," halfway through this final season, the actors started receiving redacted scripts; key scenes were blacked out. With "Lost," most of the actors were only told how the show would end when they gathered to film the final scene. And the script the "Sopranos" crew was given was missing the final scene altogether - some believed the series would end with Tony raking leaves. So what if the script for the Breaking Bad finale had been leaked? Could it have been legally protected as a trade secret? Law professor Christopher Sprigman explains: "Trade secret lawsuits are fairly common and the law is pretty simple. The key really, in a lot of these cases, is showing that the information is economically valuable because of the secrecy and that secrecy measures have been taken that are normally adequate to retain the secrecy. I think in both of these instances, the Breaking Bad plaintiffs, if it comes to a case, would have a pretty good shot."
