I was thinking of you recently because I had an article published on a restaurant hospitality website and in it I told the story that I thought whether you're in the restaurant industry or not you could really benefit from. It's really the story of two restaurants in an up and coming foodie town and they were opening within just weeks of each other. Now, both were high in seafood concepts and they were separated by no more than like half a mile. Both had excellent design and similar menus with innovative dishes. Both had food that was locally sourced or flown in daily, and in a big city, there was plenty of business to go around, plenty of customers, hungry customers, for both of them. However, a year later only one of the restaurants remained open. Here's the question. Where did the first eatery go wrong? What did the survivor do right? Now, as I'm sure you can imagine, it was all about the story. As I said, whether you work in the food industry or not, here are three ways you can engage your customers by leveraging your unique brand story. First, tell the story the customers want hear. Do your research. What do your potential customers care about? What stories are they already telling? The successful restaurant did this. They knew people were complaining about too many pizzas in the area, too many burgers, too much meat, not enough fish. The owners went with that story. They ran with it and the community responded. They were telling the story the customers were already telling, the story they wanted to hear. Second, train your team to be story tellers. It's not good enough if your team simply recites the features listed on your website or the bullet points in your brochure. Equip your team with stories your potential customers can't get anywhere else. In the article, I detailed where the one restaurant went wrong and the other went right and it's fascinating how stories were the catalyst actually for driving more business. On that note, finally, leverage stories to develop brand ambassadors. Remember, this is a word of mouth world. Every customer you bring in has the potential to be your next billboard. What if you could train your customers to say exactly the right thing about what you do? You can by telling your story so they can tell it too. There are three quick things you can do. Check out the article for more details. Again, whether you're in the restaurant business or not, you'll definitely gain some great insight, do's and dont's of using your story to engage your customers. The link is down in the blog. Now, I'm not going to lie, I'm getting a little hungry. I'm going to go grab some salmon or oysters or something. I hope this helps. I'll see you again soon and remember you're just one story from greatness. I hope you choose to tell yours.

How to Leverage Influencer Marketing to EXPLODE Your Business
Have you heard about Beats by Dre? Well if you haven't you have probably seen social media influencers or celebrities wear their product. Subscribe here to learn more of my secret SEO tips: https://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=neilvkpatel Find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/neilkpatel/ Read more on my blog: https://neilpatel.com/blog/ Beats by Dre did extremely well through influencer marketing... so well that Apple bought them for 3 billion dollars. If you want to leverage influencer marketing, you shouldn't be paying people. Instead, you should be giving them free products or services in exchange for the promotion. If that doesn't work, pay them. But negotiate and don't go through agencies as they mark up the costs a bit too high. Now when picking influencers you have to pick relevant ones. For example, Fit Tea picks people who are into fitness and weight loss. I had a famous soccer player offer to do influencer marketing for $60,000. But I am in the B2B niche... so it wouldn't make sense. Only pay people who are in your target demographic. When leveraging influencer marketing you have to be patient as it takes months if not a solid year to see results. This isn't a short term investment. You need to continually do it each week for months at a time.

Leverage A Cheap Trick To Accelerate Growth
Most advertising campaigns fail due to irrelevant, uninteresting messages. But some fail because the lack of staying power. Tom Wanek, here, and you’re watching Wizard Marketing TV, where business owners learn persuasive tools and techniques to spark miraculous growth. Today I’m going to pull back the curtain and let you in on a little secret … I’m going to share my “ace in the hole” to get faster results. It’s a simple secret that I use every time I take on a new client. Stay tuned, and I’ll see you on the other side. Most of business owners I encounter are somewhat new at this business of branding. Up until now, their marketing has been nothing more than a frustrating game advertising roulette. And not surprisingly, not much has worked. So they’re overwhelmed, nervous and more than unsure. Trust me. I get it. And I wanna help. Trouble is, branding takes time. This is true, even if you have a powerful and persuasive message. Unlike direct response marketing, brand builders do not ask for an immediate sale. What’s more, as brand builders, we cannot accurately predict the moment of need of our customer. Because our goal is to convince our customer before they have a need for what we sell—then sit back and wait for that moment to arrive—it can often take several months for a branding campaign to kick into high gear. Longer if you don’t have the luxury of affording mass media to accelerate growth. See the challenge? Seedtime to harvest takes time and money and a whole lot of patience … a whole lot of staying power. So what’s the secret to enduring this period of transition? Momentum. Yes, my friends, momentum in marketing—momentum in life—is unbelievably underrated. And what’s the best way to harness momentum and accelerate results? Ah, I'm glad you asked. Exploit a cheap trick. Let me explain. A cheap trick is window of opportunity usually in the form of an asset that has not been previously positioned for maximum impact. And here’s the kicker: A cheap trick will often reveal itself during a moment of peripeteia … a moment of discovery leading to a sudden realization … in other words, an “ah-ha” moment. The French call this coup d’oeil, or the “strike of an eye.” The great Prussian general, Clausewitz, said, “When all is said and done, it really is the commander's coup d'œil, his ability to see things simply, to identify the whole business of war completely with himself, that is the essence of good generalship. Only if the mind works in this comprehensive fashion can it achieve the freedom it needs to dominate events and not be dominated by them.” What does a cheap trick in marketing look like? Could be anything … and it differs for each business. Some have a jaw-dropping guarantee or warranty they can leverage. One that their competition simply is unwilling to match. Perhaps it’s a product demonstration or free trial. For others, a cheap trick could be a specialized skill-set or product offering that’s been sitting idly on the shelf collecting dust. Often, it’s something more simple like shining a spotlight on the magnetic personality of the business owner, improving the company’s broken-down website, or closing just one more sale out of ten. An overlooked cheap trick is to amp up the emotional voltage of your advertising campaign by conjuring pleasant mental images of your brand. Another is to splinter your product or service into smaller offerings to get your foot in the door—which is a good idea if you operate a business with a long product purchase cycle. Are you starting to see the light? Look for the cheap trick you can leverage … an unleveraged asset that’ll give you momentum and deliver the biggest results in the shortest amount of time. Now Marketing Wizards, did you like this video? Then do me a HUGE favor … please subscribe and share it with peeps all across the YouTubes and the Interwebs. And give me a shout, will ya? How to Leverage Relationship Marketing for Your Wine Brand
Relationship Marketing for Your Wine Business https://www.facebook.com/521412301295441 Great Infographic on Relationship Marketing https://www.facebook.com/521470104622994 Are you benefiting from relationship marketing with your wine brand? If not, your competition is. Not long ago, I was pouring some California wines at a consumer tasting. I was there to sellwine… but also to connect with established customers of the wines I was pouring. Throughout the day, I noticed two trends: Some consumers knew the wines I was pouring, and took time to share their stories ofvisiting the winery or recalling a special dinner when they enjoyed the wines. But other consumers, however, passed up the chance to taste the wines I was pouring, instead telling me that they drink the wines of Brand X. So what was it about Brand X that had their allegiance, I wondered? The simple answer is “relationship marketing.” "Relationship Marketing helps you interact with your customers and business associates. It can be viewed as a strong communication method that helps the business owner provide customers with highly targeted and relevant information." This sort of relationship building may start with sending out emails or a newsletter to your customers, but it goes far beyond that. Think more in terms of “branding” your wine label in your customers’ eyes. Not that you need to emulate everything that McDonald’s,Apple, or Nike are doing with their brands, but there are certainly lessons from those guys that you can take and use in building your wine brand. Branding might be a logo (I bet you can visualize the Golden Arches, White Apple, and Swoosh from those guys above),but beyond a mere symbol, it’s about creating consistency in the content, tone, and frequency of all of your communications with your customers. Ultimately, it all boils down to finding the right combination of factors for your brand, the perfect ingredients for connecting with your prospects and customers, and implementing a routine to start and maintain the momentum. Now, while it might be great to have customers like those from Brand X, who ONLY drink your wines, the reality is that there’s lots of great wine out there. And that’s all the more reason to do what you can to stay in front of your customers so they remember your wines and return to them again. By getting your wine brand in front of people on a regular basis, you are investing in relationship marketing. If you have a mailing list or publish a newsletter or use social media to connect with your customers and followers, add your personality to your content. Allow your subscribers to know you a little more personally. Share tidbits on what you did on the weekend or what business issues you are dealing with. You don’t have to share your life story, but just sharing a few things now and again can help your customers know, like and trust you. As you can see there are various ways to build trust and interaction with your customers. So what are you doing to leverage relationship marketing in your business? Tell me in the comments below. And if you’d like to learn how to put relationship marketing into practice online, check out my video at http://baeronmarketing.com/3essentials

There is a lot of advice on HOW to create a Udemy course, but little discussion as to weather or not it’s even worth your time in the first place. And if you do decide to spend your energy producing a course, how does it fit into your overall business and branding strategy? In this video, I’ll breakdown how I think you can best use Udemy to build your brand and business. Here’s a quick summary of my thoughts from the video. My opinion and strategy is based upon three things: 1) The Udemy pricing structure gets in the way of making a full-time income as an instructor 2) The Udemy management team does not appear to listen to instructors and their needs 3) The Udemy course terms of use severally limited instructors and entrepreneurs ability to build a list So how do I recommend you use Udemy courses? As a small part of your overall branding strategy. Creating a basic course designed for beginners in your niche or industry is a great way to quickly create a content rich Udemy courses that will be well received. You see the power in creating a free Udemy course (don’t do paid!) is that it allows you to quickly get feedback on your content and build a large student list. Really the number of students is what you care about when creating your course. As you market yourself and build your brand on other platforms, you can use your Udemy courses as social proof. For example, if you have 300 people signed up for your free course on Udemy, you can use that number 300, to build your creditability in your marketing and sales messages for your paid content. This is cool, because getting 300 or 1,000 people to sign-up for a free course on your own site can be very expensive. So, by having your free Udemy course, you have a way to build up massive social proof for free. Cool, right? How to STAND OUT on Social Media as a New Entrepreneur | Grow Your Brand with Social Media Marketing
You're an entrepreneur. It's going to be hard to succeed. So what do you do? ►►Subscribe here to learn more of my secret SEO tips: https://goo.gl/ScRTwc Find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/neilkpatel/ Read more on my blog: https://neilpatel.com/blog You're going to leverage channels like social media because you don't have money to spend on paid ads. Facebook ads and Google ads keep going up in costs, but social media marketing can be free. But there's so much noise and so many people out there; you're not going to stand out unless you follow these tips. Today I'm going to share with you how you can stand out on social media as an entrepreneur. The first thing you need to do is create amazing content. Some people will tell you to create video content. Others will tell you podcasting is better, and some will say you need long-form content. Well here's the thing, if you look at Gary Vaynerchuk, he does a ton of videos. That's what he specializes in. He loves it. But if you look at me, I create text-based content. Why, because I'm better at that. I'm not here to tell you to do videos, or podcasts, or text-based content, I'm saying pick the content type that you're the best at. If you're the best at something, you're more naturally likely to do better. The next thing you need to know about social media, I've tested videos, and podcasts, and text-based content. If you want to be popular when you walk down the street and people recognize you, videos are going to help more than anything else. If you want website traffic, I found that long-form content works better than anyone else. And it's not just me, even people like Tim Ferriss from The 4-Hour Workweek have found that long-form content produces more traffic than any other form of content. And why, because you're not just getting social media traffic. When you create long-form content, you're also getting a ton of Google traffic. See videos and podcast files don't rank well on Google and Google's one of the most popular websites in the world. So, you should consider leveraging long-form text-based content. If you suck at writing this content, you can go to jobs.problogger.net and hire other writers to help write for you. Because this content also does extremely well on social media. And once you have this long-form content or the ability to write it, you want to go to BuzzSumo, type in keywords, and you'll see what's popular. You click on view shares, and you'll see every single person who shared that article. You want to create then a similar article that's better and more in-depth. For example, if they talked about the 10 ways to do something, you want to discuss the 101 ways to do something. And when you break that down, no one's gonna copy you. Why, it takes way too much work to write the 1001 ways to do something. So, you go to view shares, you see all the people who share the 10 ways to do something, and you want to email them. But if you continually do that, you can get thousands and thousands of social shares and I tend to go to Upwork.com and I find people to send out those emails on my behalf. And it's helped my social traffic grow by a extra 17%, specifically on Twitter. And it's helped me get more followers, more retweets, right? As a entrepreneur if you're not there consistently, you're not gonna do well. I'm not talking about just posting content consistently, I'm talking about posting comments consistently, joining groups consistently, helping others consistently, the helping part is the most important. It's not about you. Social is a community, it's about other people, you have to help them out. Make sure that you're out there on social platforms like Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn participating in groups, your own channel, leaving comments that are thorough, not a one-liner; I'm talking about paragraphs that help people out. And if you follow these tips, you're not going to be popular within a year, or six months, or three months. You'll notice that your account will start climbing in popularity month over month, and you're gonna be doing better. As long as you follow these tips and put in the time, you will become more popular on social media. So make sure you subscribe, like, leave a comment, and if you're wondering some cool creative ways to write new content, leave a comment, and I'll give you feedback, and I'll tell you if that content will do well on your social profiles.
