Great information, Antonio! I'd like a point of clarification, though, on moving the button to shrink the cuff (6.5" wrists here too). All of my single-button cuffs have 2 buttons, to give an option for fastening the cuff a tighter. When you say to not try to adjust a button more than 0.75-1", and there's already a second button 0.75-1" inward from the first, does that mean there's nothing I can do short of tailoring, or can this second button be moved another 0.75-1" without deforming the cuff?
